Hi all,

I am planning to file my application in january as the new changes are coming into effect.

I wanna a question as you guys are all doing the preparation.
I am gathering my documents. Is it ok if i get my documents that needs translation translated and certified by the embassy or the consulate. Does the person have to be only from Notary Public?

Would mind telling how much your lawyer is charging for whole application? I may also go for it.

It depends on your case and the number of dependants or applicants. It can be between $1700+

Getting my documents together. Do we submit the Notice of Assessment that comes in the mail or the one online?

You submit the one in the mail. a copy of it should be fine as per the check list. good luck.

Hi,

Where you did IELTS? If it is in canada, please fill in the the 2 attached forms & fax (Fax: 519-748-6289 ) it to the test center.

2) http://www.ieltscanada.ca/pdf/TRFsPaymentAuthorization.pdf ( I rememeber, i paid $23)

I got one in 3 days.

Guys,

If you dont have Birth certificate, you can always submit affidavit in lieu but make sure that it states following information.

1. DOB,
2. Place of Birth,
3. Father's Name.
4. Reason why you cant obtain BC.

Looks like I am lone warrior ...Sending my application without PCC as I have not received it yet.

For Birth Certificate, I am yet to decide..

- Original BC. - Not sure if I can obtain this.

go for an affidavit either made in your home country or in Canada. This is suggested by CIC as well.
