Hello all!

For all of you who sent their application in December 2011, let's talk and help each other here.

I've sent my application on December 10. Finally after all those months of processing papers, certificates and other requirements, me and my wife feel so excited but nervous at the same time. At least now, the real waiting game begins.

I'm from Montreal, my wife is from Philippines. What's your story?

Let's support each other, we're all in the same boat 8)

Hiii :) I sent my application on Dec 2nd.

I am also from Montreal and my hubby is from Bangladesh.

I guess i could be counted as a december person also! I sent our application at the end of november but I think they must have received it around Dec 2!

I´m from Calgary but I am currently living in Mexico...my husband is from Mexico.

So happy to say I have also sent in my application FINALLY! Sent it off by FedEX on Dec 9, missed last pick up by half an hour so they will be actually sending it out on Monday, Dec 12, so it should be there by Dec 13!

I am a Canadian Citizen, sponsoring my husband who is an American Citizen. We met while I was going to school in California! Let the waiting begin! Good luck everyone, i'm looking forward to the processing time update this wednesday! hopefully it will be down another couple of days! *fingers crossed*

Processing times are updated on wednesdays? I didn't know that!

Well not necessarily on Wednesdays, but they are supposed to update it once a week and the last few weeks it has always been on Wednesday. Sometimes they take longer than a week so it can fall on different days. :)

Hi all!

Our application was received Dec 2. I'm from New Zealand and my husband is from Canada...we're both residing in Ontario.

Good luck fellow Decemberians! It feels so good to have the enormous file sent away after months collecting documents...I'm now plagued with worries that we forgot to sign a form, or include a photocopy of something ::)

An update on Mississauga processing times has been posted - back to 67 days, boo :-[

It's likely to go up more the next two weeks due to the holidays :(

Sent today, December 14th. It's a Parent Sponsorship, my brother sponsoring my mom and I. We actually sent the application back in March 2008, but they have started working on it on November 2011 and asked us to update some documents, so we sent the updated information today :)

My brother is from Brazil, like my mom and I, but he's been living in Canada since 2004.

Not spouse sponsorship, but I can join in, right?

Good luck to everyone!

Well I am hoping to be a December applicant but having some trouble. Seeing that you guys have already sent your forms in I wonder if you would be kind enough to answer a couple questions:

Looking at the IMM0008 form under Dependants It says:

"You must list all family members in your application for permanent residence, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not. You must also provide details on family members whose location is unknown (including those missing or presumed dead). If you don't, you will not be able to sponsor family members at a later date if they are not listed on your application." NOTE THAT IT DOESNT MENTION THE AGE I.E. UNDER 22 OR OVER.

THEN UNDER: Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) IT SAYS:

"Form must be completed by: you, the principal applicant; your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not), AND your dependent children aged 18 or over (whether accompanying you to Canada or not). "

So on the IMM0008 we shouldnt put down anyone that is over 18 or what? pls if someone knows about this send me a note. !

Thx so much !

Arrghhh what a bummer! Now it's going up again :'(
But with xMas coming, it guess it was predictable a bit.

We are hoping to get everything sent in this month! My husband had his medical today and we are just finishing up all of our paperwork and are just waiting for the dang FBI report to get here!! We had hoped it would have gotten here by now(sent Sept 21) but we are just getting everything else done so once it gets here we can send it all off! Lets hope for fast approvals for all of us December's!!!

Oh just a quick note on us.. I came down to the US when my mom got re-married in 2002 and met my husband and we got married in 2006 and have been living in the US the whole time and have 3 little ones. We are hoping to be all settled in NS in time for our oldest to start school in the fall.

Our FBI report came in today so lets hope for sending in by the end of this week!! The last big thing we need to do is get all of my husband's siblings addresses... that might be the hardest part of the whole paperwork ;)

Im so happy for you guys!
My husband and i are really hoping to be able to join this group in the next 2 weeks or so... we are soooooo close to having the entire package ready. My husband just went for his medical exam today and we have all other necessary documents, we're jsut working on the last minute preperations for getting the package organized properly.

We've been married since September and have been working on the paperwork every night since... its been a full time job but it will all be worth it when we can finally "officially" be together.

Im flying down to Florida Christmas day to be with my husband and the goal is to send the package in while im down there... after all the hours i put it i really needed to have a hand in dropping the package in the mail box, so to speak!

I cannot wait....im sure many of you will agree, submitting this package is probably the best Christmas gift that anyone could imagine...simply priceless.

I will respond again to confirm that we are officially a part of the December Applicants Team.

Merry Christmas everyone...just think this time next year we should all be with our others :)
