I went to Ebrahim Sayed in Welland, Ontario. His office was only open certain hours each day and I played phone tag with his voicemail for nearly two weeks before finally speaking to a receptionist! But once I finally spoke to someone, I was able to book an appointment for the very next week so it worked out in the end, a very streamlined process, the longest part was waiting in line for the blood test.

I am also hoping that my Mother-in-law will send our applications within this month. :( My husband let his Mom do all the sorting of documents ever since I sent all my requirements to them almost three months ago.

He said his Mom will send it last Thursday but until now, nothing change. :(

me and my wife are also part of this december applicant group. we just sent our application about a week ago.
hope that everything will be fine, even though we thought we prepared everything that is necessary to be proof of our relationship, we are still keeping our fingers cross that we won't be encountering anything that will prolong our wait to be reunited.

well.. best of luck to all of us.. ! :)

all december your application will be approved before on the 31st if you believe it...let me hear you shout halleluyah.

Is anyone computer-savy enough to start a spreadsheet for us Decemberians? :) I'd do it if i knew how...:p

We're only days away now from sending our package... cutting it close to be in the December list, i know... but im more than positive we will get it sent on Friday!

I wanted to ask this question here: i was wondering if anyone else had problems submitting all the documents in the specified 9 x 12 envelope.

I being the sponsor do not have as many supporting documents as my husband does and im pretty sure it's going to be tough fitting everything in that specific size envelope.

Did anyone else have the same issue? If so any suggestions on what we should do?

I don't think they are going to be too picky about the envelope size...I'm not sure what size my envelope was but it was big enough to fit everything. I've seen some posts where the apps were so large they had to use a box instead of an envelope and they didn't have any issues. Good luck! It's such a relief to finally have it out of your hands!

Thanks!!!!

I just wish they didnt specifty a certain size...seems contradictory when they ask for all the proof...im almost sure it wont fit in such a small envelope.

I will try and look for a box with similar dimensions and hopefully that will work.

Thanks again for your help.

We paid CIC last night so we're really only a few steps away... just need to copy the whole package for our records and then we can sigh that happy sigh of releif! :)

I didn't used any envelope, we put all our papers in a hard cover folder and send it in a small box.

Hello All,

I have sumbitted my wifes application yesterday through canadapost. God....it was very strenuous and stressful. Finally i did sent it. Keeping fingers crossed. It was all the ground work of 2 months cordinating from Canada with her in INDIA.

I have packed my appln forms in one envelope, hers in another and all the supporting documents in another envelope before packing them all into a jumbo envelope. Just to make the work of officer easy. Also I have indexed all the supporting documents so that the officer can simply look at the index and for corresponding label number in the supporting documents.

I hope this trick works and the officer will definitely appreciate all my ground work.

Wish to be reunited with my wife asap....We're newly married and stayed together for just 9 days before I took my flight back to Canada :(

Just saw that the CPC Mississauga started to work on Oct 20, 2011 applications down from Oct 14th, 2011. Good start. Waiting game is ON for atleast 5 weeks from now.

Sorry to use this thread to ask another question, but with you guys being the most recent couples to apply you might have the best answer...

Recap - husband is American, i am sponsoring him to Canada - outland.

Do we need to sign the back of the immigration photos?

Your help is very much appreciated.

We're sitting at the library doing the last minute things....i cannot wait to head over to Fedex next to ship it off!!!!! :)

I'm not sure about having to sign the backs of the photos but i think that they must be dated and stamped by the people who took the photos because they want to make sure that the photos were taken recently.
