Hi guys:

I'm wondering how accurate I'd have to be with the personal history, especially where you've lived. I used to live in and out of student residence for a couple of summers, and I'm not 100 percent sure which unit, or the exact date I moved in or out. I can only give a general description of it. Will this be a big problem?

Let me know.

Hi!

I am accompanying spouse. On the pre-ITA stage I stated only last workplace since it is irrelevant for points.

Now we have an ITA and a question arise. Will it be OK to leave work history blank (actually delete pre-ITA one) and describe all workplaces in personal history?

The problem is that I had 3 jobs during past 10 years and only from one of them I’ll be able to get a reference letter. Not sure even for that one.

So is it ok to remove one previously showed workplace? Did somebody do something like that?

Your foreign work experience does not add any value to the primary applicant's application.

You can safely remove that work experience (or all your foreign experience for that matter) and add it in the personal history section.

You should have separate space for uploading name change affidavit, if you don't have it then check your forms(personal details) again to make sure you have declared all the names you have used.

Please advise:

Since i dont have my salary mentioned on my reference letters for (Non Canadian experience). I wanted to know how many pay stubs should i attach? is there a specific number. In addition in one of the employment letters my grade/Level/Designation was changed which is not mentioned in the letter and only the last designation held at the company is mentioned. Though my roles and responsibility remained the same. I have my promotion letters with me for the role/designation change. Do i have to provide additional documents for the same and explain it in my LOE?

Yes, better to include these additional promotion documents and explain them in LOE.

I had the same issue, only with my work history. I have about 3 months during my undergrad education in 2011 where I worked 2 or 3 part time/contract type jobs that I couldn't even tell you dates of employment for. I'm not claiming points for them by any means, and have no paper record of dates. (I'm not even sure I know the contracting company's name if I'm honest.) I didn't list them since the entire time period was covered by my college enrollment dates.

Thank you for your reply.

But here nothing is like name change. In my case only my passport has surname mentioned in it and all other documents are with first Name. So with affidavit I want to inform CIC officer that person is same and both the names are in use. I think I should include it in LOE field as Del motioned.

Do I need reference letters for each deputation within same company. My job is between India and Canada (5 times each)

One reference letter is enough showing all these 5 different deputations mentioned in it and the start and end date for each one.

Yes in that case it should go with LOE.

I have requested a copy of my official transcript from my university and got it today! It was dated yesterday and it has my old address on the transcript! Can I upload that transcript with my old address with a current date? Would that be a problem?

Assuming you are talking about Canadian degree.

And old Address or date won't be a problem.
