I will be submitting my application in about 2 weeks from now
I have a doubt:
I have shown myself as unemployed for some time as i knew i wont get reference letter for that period. will this affect my background check in any way. As principal applicant, did not want to take chance. i am in the process of completing PR application.

My medical was done on 21st December . And my doctor Sent the results to CIC on 28th December. Let see what happens next, hopeful next week will hear something...

What do I do if my company refuses to list duties and responsibilities on the reference letter? My boss refused to even agree on email too as HR stated (as if she works for CIC) that this standard letter is sufficient for Canada. I am the primary applicant.

For proof of medicals, all I received was an sheet titled eMedical information sheet with UMI number on it. Is that the one I need to upload? the results will be sent directly to CIC, I assume and I hope they will link up with my application correctly. Please correct me if this is not the case!!

Btw, another question - Can I travel to another country after submitting application? DO I need to (if yes, how) update Travel history? It's just for leisure for 2 days. Please help me clarify this issue. Thanks again!

count me, I have also got ITA on 18th. I got my AOR at Jan4, and also did medical exam on Jan 04, still no update on Medical status until now. How's others? How long usually takes for medical result passed?
