And the next time, it'll be about visa processing times... if you don't mind my taking breaks for communicating with the journalist working on this ;)

I believe they have stopped processing our cases and are working on International Students.
These students will bring money . YES,they are more important than our cases.

And of course each student should go under security check. And Whereas the human resources are limited we will have again
1 months delay.

Here,In Montreal in the UQAM university the student will go for strike . Why ?
Because they believe the educational system in universities has been converted to a financial institutes.

Each clue is connected to Money . Yes Money >>>>> Family . No one cares about your family life.

Screw all these rich international students....I am wondering how come for an international student the security check is so short and for PRs so much longer, it makes me sad that we are not hearing anything from Ankara.... :'( I hope God helps us all in this process,....

You need to rephrase; it's not international students' fault. One of the guys here mentioned the truth, the decision is made somewhere and by some people we have virtually no access to. BTW I used to be an international student, and I was financially struggling more than any other time in my life, just like thousands of other international students.

To get a better idea of how terrible the progress is for the international students, have a look at here: http://www.applyabroad.org/forum/showthread.php?36824-تجربیات-و-نتایج-دریافت-روادید-دانشجویی-کانادا-(سال-2012-ویزا-آفیس-آنکارا)

I agree with you...i dont think we need to take stabs at random groups...i think we all agree that there is something wrong...but to be honest its the ministry who makes decisions and its people like us who have to carry out their rash decisions....last night i heard from a family friend that they have tightened rules for entrepreneurs...they are no longer granted a pr when they initially land in canada and they have one year to set up their buisness and if its successful it is then they are granted their pr...im not sure how accurate the details are...but either way it shows that it is all sectors in the immigration department that are being tightened...so we should stick together and be strong:)

I'm sorry but I don't think blaming and relating our situation to others will solve anything. The people and the process that handle family visa are different than other types of visas. So you cant compare them to one another.

Let's not vent our anger by hating on people who have nothing to do with our difficult situation. And there is a very simple reason for why they take a longer time to clear security check for PRs than students. It is because PRs are going to be allowed to live in the country and have rights given to them upon their arrival but student and other temp visas have almost no right or privilege and can be easily deported. I'm not saying the security checks should take a long time but your comparing is not logical.

I did not blame them,I just know there is something wrong and now it is winter semester of universities.
There were lots of problem with fall semester and I know lots of students lost the fall semester because
of mess situation in Visa office.

But If you think they have another group for processing student visa I think you are wrong.

congratssss...and i know someone who got it back on the same day or a couple of days later..so dont worry about it even if u have to wait for another month doesnt matter becuase it is over for u...goodluckkk

GUYS !!!

OMG OMG OMG !!!! IT'S ALL OVER !!! My wife just received a letter from the embassy of Canada in Amman for a "Request for Submission of Passport" I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING !! 16 months in the waiting and its practically all over. If anyone knows what is the next phase can you please shed some light? They told her in the letter that she has 30 days to get her updated passport to the embassy how long does it take for them to issue the visa ? Days or weeks ?? And doesn't she get her Permanent resident card and not a visa ?? I am so excited I am shaking honestly. I think they are trying to move as fast as possible especially now that they have bumped up the processing times to 20 months. I know I was not a big participator on this forum but believe I was constantly reading when I can. I pray for all you guys to hang in there and by the will of Allah it will happen. I feel your pain because I walked the same road. God bless all you guys that are in the same boat and never ever give up faith !!!

One of our problems is making up stories about things we dont really know. In any embassy immigration department is different than visa department with different visa officers. Their training is also different. You need to remember every year around Nov & Dec the processing of application may slow down or speed up depending on how many cases has been finalized that year. Embassies have a target to follow. This summer the situation was very good and many received their visas, so a slow down was expected for year end.

Yes mashti,Maybe or maybe not, it might be another story .
But whatever it is ,I think you also believe they just follow some rules , Money or the number of Visas (their targets),

The important thing is : They don't care about family life.

They slow down ??? They speed up ???? Are we Machines ? Are we targets ??? Should we expect this situation ???

I am talking about spouse sponsership , not skill workers .

If anyone here has a lawyer, please share with us what they think about the current situation in Ankara regarding Iranian family class applicants. Im sure they have more info..

by the looks of it we wont be getting any ppr till next year, and then in the next year they will be all busy with taking holidays and days off,...and evn then theyll continue on telling us that security checks r still not in, since the agnecies doing the checks are also going to go on 2 weeks Christmas break,, a couple of days off for celebrating new years, and then theyll need a week to get back to work since their mind and body was in wonderland for a good 3 weeks, there goes our jan, and feb...,,so then we should be hopeful for March/April...... yupp Canada Treats spousal sponsorship very fair,

I wish I knew when it ends...
