well u didn't talk to the same person; i think the one who just called u is the one of the officers working on ur file, not the receptionist :) but it's good no? going to turkey would b much better than to syria, that office has 5 months processing time ;) plus u know that they r currently working on it :)

But Missmini,
i think you remember Mrs Turan from Turkey thread. It took them more than one year to be finalized! or?

Thank you to all of u who have called the embassey for clarification. i think maybe the receptionist the other day said that they were not transferring files so as not to cause panic and confusion. I personally found it exciting that all Iranian files will go to Turkey. faster processing time and safe to travel there to get passport stamped if that is an option, without needing a visa too;) I think we can be sure of it that the embassy will be closing. Good luck to all of you and may God bring us together with our spouses soon!

I was in no way talking about the process or when people post about the process. but people have been talking about economy and politics (aside from syria), that is what I meant that those can be sent personally. Again I don't mean to offend anyone, all I am saying is there should be some relevance kept to the topic (the origin of the forum title) to an extent. And I do like reading every post that is relevant to the general public perception because like you said I along with you is trying to collect new information about this process, so control f doesn't work too well in that case :).

yeah u r right for sure politics doesn't have the place here....me too i like to read everything but sometimes i have headache LOL :P good luck!!

i know but when she started Ankara had higher processing time + they had interview + rejection, appeal, winning the appeal, transferring it all back.....maybe Ankara has a higher interview rate than Damascus but u don't know how they work on files from "outside" ;) maybe it will b the same officer working on it so they will keep the same way :) so just stay hopeful, don't think at exceptions :-*

dear friends

i think , for the reviewing and assessment and finalizing our application in Ankara, takes several months.., because first of all they must gather our information , and step by step ..

they start and work on applications, don't think as they said 7 months , it's attached to our application ...

a process full of surprises!

How will be the situation for yours? Will it be send to Dubai? :o

Guys, I mean if everyones file in Damascus is going to get transferred by the end of the month, I would expect them to send each and one of us some sort of letter no?

Just my opinion on the transfers - if it were to happen - unless the same officer will be working on our files, then there's prob going to be a lot more we can expect; everry officer is different, I mean let's just say your officer in Damascus found that your application is almost ready for approval, maybe no interview required however if that application goes to another officers hand then it could be different about what he thinks...

Anyway, inshallah things will look brighter than we think.

who knows?! yeah it could....it could b sent even if the embassy does not close, or NOT...let's send it first and then get approved as sponsor and then we'll see what where....so many things can happen in 2 months, it's crazy!!!!!! LOL maybe we won't b even here while the application would LOL....we just take it a day at a time, now focus to print all, make sure we don't miss any question or signature!!!! yesterday we got the box and the courier address, good times for us ;):P

definitely they will notify everyone!! but yeah what u said abt the officers could happen - each VO is different, the officers could analyze things in different way, some could b much more suspicious than others (based on the history of that VO, history of fake marriages, fake documents, etc)....but nothing is so dark as it looks, so inshallah, no one will get affected too much!!
