I think your husband should seriously consider applying for a visiting visa. Damascus is full of surprises and inconvience.

he did in end of september was refused cause he doesnt have money and he works as freelancer so no job to hold him back....they said to him ure file should be complete by begining of the year ...yeh right !

hiii all hru today nshalla there is good news ,i called the embassy in damascus ,the attendant told me that if i want to send the passport in post it needs only three day to get it back (but if they recieved it wed,thur fri or sat i have to wait till sun to issue my visa cos they work on visa only sun mon tues ) it doesnt need one month ;D and if i want to go to beirut it needs 2 weeks and i can come in personal it needs one day only

When we sent in our application, there was a question asking where we want to use as our "point of contact" if we need an interview or if we need to pick something up. There was a choice between Beirut and Damascus. I think they had just changed it recently (back when we applied) so that people wouldn't have to travel to Syria...they probably changed it after you applied so that's why you have to go to Syria.

Yes bring your wife along, it will help prove your marriage is genuine. They may or may not ask her to come in, but if you do mention she is outside waiting they will probably call her in. Good luck and glad to hear your wife is coming for a visit

wow thanks, but no I did not hear from them they did not email or call me or send me nothing ???therefore I am going to damascus next sunday along with my passport and hopefully I will come back with my visa
