Why dont u ask for the CAIPS notes (Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System, the software used by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Canadian diplomatic missions to track visa applications)?

It usually takes 1 month to get news about your visa application.

kamal i think u are right to go there and find out what in the world has taken them 13months! they are wayyyy past ur processing time!

just found this forum recently and decided to jump in

so here's my story, app filed in Dec 2010, transferred to damascus in Jan 2011, then we had heard nothing..till last week !! thats when they requested the RQ, copy of marriage cert., an updated police record, and the "right of perm residence" fee !! all at the same time.

Has anybody had all this requested? any input would be great Thanks a bunch
