Damascus/Spousal since Jan 2010 or late 2009

just found this forum recently and decided to jump in

so here's my story, app filed in Dec 2010, transferred to damascus in Jan 2011, then we had heard nothing..till last week !! thats when they requested the RQ, copy of marriage cert., an updated police record, and the "right of perm residence" fee !! all at the same time.

Has anybody had all this requested? any input would be great Thanks a bunch

someone who appplied around the same time as you got a request for marriage certificate and RQ last week as well

i wonder if you still have the "disappeared address" from ecas for the sponsored person? just out of curiosity, i know it doesn't mean anything! lol!

yes you ??? but they updated MY file with new information like when they transferred my file and stuff ?? why would they add this info after a year ???

maybe a bored officer was around and decided to update some people's files on ecas! lol!
my husband's address that was gone since august and was gone this morning too, is back now! this makes me think Damascus isn't the one updating ecas! the address came back after working hours in Damascus. even the first time that my status changed to "application received" it was on a saturday, in the easter holidays! so who's doing these updates?! a ghost?! lol!

my husband's address is back on e-cas guys !!! and they updated it to the address i emailed on august 30th !! but they never replied to my emailllllllllllllll lol

I just checked my mail box and found a letter to the embassy is glowing lol....They finally sent the Residency Questionnaire lol....why the hell did they send it by mail not email. why didnt send it to my wife,she has to sign it not me...I am the sponsor!

The letter say "Dear Madam", i did not know that i am a girl....is it a rle that if you want to sponsor someone they will invert your sex.

well didn`t you say they had a problem with your email address ???

Question: can the appointed person sign the RQ, or should i send it to my wife by mail and she sign it?

The embassy requested similar documents from my husband too. Like you, our file was transferred to Damascus in Jan 2011 and on Tuesday they requested the RQ, copy of marriage certificate as well as proof of military exemption from my husband. Where are you sponsoring your spouse from?

Question: For those who were asked to submit the marriage certificate, did you do so by email or did you mail it to the embassy since they require the original documents of all translated material?

I never sent originals of anything except for police report. thats what was written in the package. I sent even copies of the certified translated documents

Really? In the email we received they said:

You must send photocopies of the Arabic originals of all documents. Only send ORIGINAL documents when requested. All documents, in a language other than English or French must be accompanied by original certified translations into English or French, except the passport.

It'll be so much easier for us to email the documents since my husband is in the US now... did they mention the same thing when they emailed you requesting the marriage certificate?

We received the RQ this week too... hoping to submit it and the requested documents sunday inshallah
