Samira there is no written law that the worst case scenario will apply to ur file! It's just an automated email....wait till the first batch of pprs arrive, it will clarify many uncertainties.

Thank you for your great and useful information.I am not belong to this group ,but reading your posts.I need your advice and appreciate it if you could help me.I have applied as a skilled worker in 2004 from Iran and I was done the medical exams on 23 october 2011 .Last month when I asked about my file status damascus office replied me that my file is still in security stage and if it doesn't before my medical exams expiration ,they will send me other medical instruction after finishing that stage.after closing Damascus I don't know what has happened to my file .Would you please let me know that these 2100 applications files are just belong to family class or all backlogsin damascus ,and could I be hopeful to get a good news before norooz?

all applications ..familly class and skill worker has trasnferred to Ankara. look at below.....

Due to the closure of the Visa Section of the Canadian Embassy in Damascus, active Permanent Residence applications have been transferred as outlined below:

Citizens and Residents of Iran

All Permanent Resident applications have been transferred to Ankara, Turkey.

Citizens and Residents of Cyprus, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria

· Federal Skilled Worker and Federal Business Immigration Categories – All applications have been transferred to Ankara.
· Quebec, Provincial Nominee, and Family Class Sponsorship categories – Applications have been transferred to the following offices:
o Amman – Jordan, Syria, Iraq
o Beirut – Lebanon
o Tel Aviv – Cyprus

Also Thanx for the advice regarding the PPR fee, Could I pay it when my file hits Ankara, Is that possible?

Also I got the same Q as rah , what would happen to my wife's application which still is in mississauga ? Do u have any idea ?

actually as sohrad said before the total sum to be paid is still 1040$ for the first part u should have paid 75+475=550$ with 50$ less than what u said; if u paid more a little it's ok, they will send u back a cheque with the extra
as for paying the remaining 490$ yeah me too i would not wait for them to ask for it....but i would wait to have a client id so it will b easier for them after to add it to the file; inside Canada u can also pay through bank as A+M suggested; outside Canada the only way is online by credit card; but it's very easy, u register with an email to CIC, u follow the payment steps, then u get the receipt in the email which u print fill in and send
as for the file, don't think too much now, step by step....maybe they will tell in the sponsor approval email; but if they said they will send the new files starting with beginning of March then it's like that good luck!

come on, we all know these emails mean nothing and the important thing is that we havent seen any pprs from any of the VOs and maybe the first on will come out of ur VO office...lets just hope they r working on them!!!

yeah i thought also that ur daughter is already a citizen and it's only ur wife the applicant but looool why wouldn't she tell u the right amount....anyhow maybe the extra 50 is for her employees going to the bank to pay or who knows :
