The only way you can ask your MP if you are waiting more than 14 months! cause they will answer your MP that the current processing time is 14 months! so It wouldn't be helpful as what you think?

well, we weren't talking about the processing time, it's was only to ask about the transferring process and where each file is now!

Vivi2...is right! I agree with you....We have to wait and forget about the time is the best choice and will make the process easier for us

Oh I'm around, but I'm not upset or anything, in fact I'm more excited than ever!
The reason I keep quiet is because most comments here makes me upset! For the last few days it has just been oh I don't where my file is, oh I wanna accuse CIC of lying to me, oh I haven't heard anything from the new visa office, oh what is the timeline of Amman, oh why has Damascus's timeline been increased to 14 months ...
For those who don't know where their files are, CIC has made it pretty clear on the website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob380.asp
Files "have been transferred", you know the nationality of the person you are sponsoring, so just take some time and find where your file is supposed to be. They have mentioned all the countries that were previously processed in Syria.
Again on the CIC website it is clearly mentioned that the files that were already in Damascus "have been transferred" (=the transferring is already done!). For the new files, and by new I also mean the ones that got to Mississauga after July or whatever month it was that the first person reported their file is still in Canada, your files will be kept in Canada and they will be transferred after March 1st. CIC did make the best choice in keeping files in Canada and not sending any new files to Syria until the situation is cleared. Do you really think that even if CIC had sent your file to Damascus then a lot of progress would have been done to your file by now? NO, why? Because people who have applied before you are still waiting for a little sign of progress. CIC kept your files to send them right away to a faster visa office, instead of sending to Syria and then transferring.
Yes no one should expect to hear anything from the new visa office, they're not going to send hi dear applicant how are you we have your file, no, the visa office will not contact you unless they need or want something from you and your application has reached the next stage of processing. Although you might see the transfer in ecas, but not right away, for god's sake give them some time!!
The timeline published in CIC's website is based on LAST YEAR's application, this means Amman which never has processed sponsorship application will NOT appear in the chart and they don't even know the timeline themselves. Why has Damascus increased to 14 months? Because Damascus took 14 months to finalize 80% of LAST YEAR's applications. They can't just delete Damascus from the chart, this data is for the previous year and should be published quarterly.
Sorry for sounding harsh, but I just couldn't keep quiet any more.
I am very optimistic about everything that has happened and I know things could have been better, but for a moment just think that things could have been a lot worse too.
thank you vivi2,your comment very relief and help me,specially about (Damascus took 14 months to finalize 80% of LAST YEAR's applications) that make sense ;)
but I have no more patient and I have HUGE problems because of the delay of the Pr,my husband always tense and upset and he fights with me on the phone all the time and we are newly married and we postponed having a baby because of the suspected delay of PR for the child and we will have a new struggle of bringing our child to Canada.
I engaged and marry in 3 weeks,I didn't know him before but kisma and spent 7 months with my husband then he travel back to Canada and I feel my marriage is threatened because of this delay of my PR.
so viv2 don't blame me if I impatient and I always pessimistic not optimistic like you :'( I feel this distance between me and my husband may ruin my marriage and my entire life :'(

oh honey i'm not blaming anyone, or samira jan i'm not punishing, lol! i just wanted everyone to see the realities instead of just thinking and wondering what is happening ...
dear Nenan, i'm sorry to hear what you're going through. but don't worry, long distance relationship never was supposed to be easy. we all, more or less, really get fed up with this whole process sometimes. but honey, your husband should know that this delay is not your fault, or his fault, or anyone else's, well actually it is jason kenney's fault! lol!
but seriously try talking to him and explaining to him that this is how it is right now, and tell him you have 2 options either ruin these days of your lives because of this whole thing, or make the best out of it, tell him that this process will end eventually and you want to live it in a way that after these days pass and you look back, it will be one of your sweet memories, not a nightmare.
come on Nenan, you're a woman, i'm sure you know how to use your sweet and kind and deep feelings to make your husband calm too :-* take care and don't think too much about this whole process and you will see that time passes by pretty fast and i hope you get your visa very very very sooooon :) and everyone else also :)

Thanks for showing us the REALTIES; does not matter if you accept it or not, it sounded very mean. sort of like saying " you are all.... and I am only smart"
I can understand that you have been waiting long time and bothers you when new people ask questions and you just feel like saying " you know what we have been waiting here for long time before you". Anyways you should remember that when people are new in the process they are not used to it and they are more excited and they get frustrated faster. The after a while they get used to it. People don't just come here to get answer to their question but also come here to share their feelings and hopefuly someone tells them that I am in the same situation as you. If you can't do that for the new people and they annoy you, atleast please don't make the feel bad and don't try to make them feel embarrassed for coming back here and sharing their feelings with other. you don't have to read the posts that bothers you.
I know you are trying to show the realties but realties are shown by presenting facts and not being sarcastics

Yeah I know it sounded mean, and that's why I said sorry at the end! Lol! :D
But you got me wrong dear!
Of course I don't have to read the posts that bother me, I don't in fact! I never said don't share your feelings, share them as much as you want, yeah part of this forum is for that of course, I've shared my feelings and depressions and happinesses a lot here.
I have been in this forum long enough for people to know me and know that I never meant I am smarter than everyone else here! I am although pointing out the facts the some people might have missed and I put all the answers in one place, which was a good thing and a few people here after that said thank you and that brought a smile to my face.
Anyway it is up to you to judge me and my posts, I don't care! I have always been here to help people out whenever it is something that I know and I think I have always did and this makes me glad. And I have ALWAYS replied and showed the REALITIES with facts and references dear, and it has always been CIC's website. :)
Good luck and best wishes!

PS: Sorry everyone, I never meant to offend anyone, sorry if any one of you in anyway felt offended.

thank you vivi2 I read your reply and I cry :'(,I appreciate each word you say :'(,my husband personality is demanding and he become angry quickly for nothing,I am not complaining from his personality or his behavior because he is my husband and the woman always has to understand her husband's moods and adapt with him, but you know the silly problems which related to jumpy mood are easily solved if the couples lives together at the same place and of course the tension and upset is less, :-\face to face dealing totally different from dealing through phone or net and add to that we didn't live together long time to get use of each other, I am sorry to bother you by my problem but I am sure each one of us experience such problem with his wife or her husband Once or twice every few months, but with me is recurrent ???
I hope all of us get visa very very soon cause that distance between couples really really affects on their relationship and weaken the bond between them, its truly tough and harsh test for the sustainability of Marriage I wish all of us pass this test Successfully and with HAPPY END :) and optimistic beginning of our Married life :)

dear rah and vivi2 no one of us (who lives under this pressure and depression of waiting meeting his or partner ) is on his or her nature, we get nervous and depressed and that clearly show up through our comments and I think we know how it hurt to keep all this confusion and pain inside your self and this forum is like shouting loudly our suffering and sharing this with people understand us because they are in the same situation we live, I shout,vivi2 shout ,rah shout, faridzad shout and that not mean accusing of each other, on the contrary ,when I read someone complaining that make me feel normal cause I am quite like her or him ;) ;)

oh i totally understand what you mean by saying even the simplest thing can sometimes cause problems in long distance relationships. i think we all have been there at least once! don't worry Nenan jun, just be happy that files are transferred and are being transferred and everything happens for a reason, lets hope it's for the best which i believe it is and after some "pause" everything will go back to normal with a much more faster speed ;)

Hi brothers and sisters

Guys I got a Question. Do any of you include a bank statement in your file . my agent asked me to submit a bank statement with a balance of at least $15000.

Sohrab jan could u share your experience regarding this matter?
my application is already sent to CIC miss. on Dec30,2011.

The problem is that I can't open an account With Royal bank,( from what I know is the only bank which lets people from abroad open accounts) . does any other bank let me open an account without me being present in Canada?

Any help would be appreciated .

Respect

Hello guys! So Damascus received my application in AUGUST 2011 and so far I haven't got any response. HOWEVER, I COMPLETLY forgot to do the "CSQ" which means "Certificat de Selection du Quebec". I'm going to do it this week. Do you think this will affect my application? Is there a possibility they haven't started processing my folder because I didn't do the "CSQ" yet?

Thank you!!!

BTW, I live in Quebec.
