no im not a student but a mother of 5 kidsand im 33 years old but i never worked and didnt have to because my husband was still suppporting us even in canada.i called cic and explained that i couldnt work and that he has a job waiting for him if he comes and he fully understood and said the last decision is the visa officer that has his case in damascus,just wait and see when they call him what they say and if he has an interview he could show them bank statements for himself

you just answered the question, you have dependents....... they cannot REFUSE a file for financial reasons if the person is alone, i have personally never seen a spouse case that was refused for financial reasons( with no dependents=children)

This is also what a VO asked us to provide in July:

-Evidence shows that your sponsor can financially Support you and himself:

-Bank statements from Canadian bank accounts including daily transactions for the past three months.

-Pay stubs from his current employment for the last three months.

- Notice of Assessment from Revenue Canada for the year 2010

-Any other proof that he may deem pertinent.

Please note that legal and official documents (e.g. bank statements or government documents) will carry more weight than informal declarations.

in the RQ the only question that has anything to do with finance is the question asking about tax return and even that question isnt because of income, its to prove you were physically in canada to file taxes, it doesnt matter how much you earned, my tax return was 0 for the year i applied, why? because i spent a year in iran, if i wasnt eligible Mississauga would have refused my case

I just filled the forms for Notice of Assessment but I was just informed that it's gonna take 3 monthsssss to issue it. Can I possibly send every other documents along with my sponsorship application, and then send this Notice of Assessment after I receive it? or do I have to wait 3 months (((((((((((? I have everything ready, and I was planning to send them all out this week what should I do?????

call Canada revenue agency and ask for SECTION C printout, its faster and its the same as assessment

guys for sponsorship of SPOUSE there is no financial requirement i asked my lawyer and its even written n the documents its for visit visa ure responsible not spouse and income taxes are not required its all in the documents what is evrybody talking about u guys are making life harder on yourself . if u take SOCIAL assistance you WILL BE REFUSED to sponsor u cannot sponsor if ure getting money from the government but if ure spporting urself wether its a low income job or money u have saved or anything its fine ..its wefare ure not entitled too thats it . get informed through cic and lawyers dont just read anything and beleive it.

If any one is interested they can read cases in details.
I myself would rather overthink and analyse and understand details rather than ignoring demands from a visa officer.

i assure you financial REASONS ARE RARE!

there are exceptions, like having children or this case you posted which is AGE!

other than that no one will be refused for income

I think it is better to redo it. As you know the results processing time in Paris and receiving in Damascus take three weeks. If you receive your PPR sooner you lose medical fee if not you save time.

you know what?I am just saying if they wanted to refuse her ,they should have done it in the first place I mean in the sponsorship assessment not after 10 months in damascus.Anyway I cant find athab in the chart.

She is on row 68. Her time line is 07/02/2011.

In my e-case it only says " we received your file". But in our last reply from Damascus they said " Please be advised that the application is in queue for assessment. Please be patient as we will contact you when the application reaches the next stage of processing." with signature of "RLA"
And since July no news, no answer!

And dont worry for the ecas as the guys here have experienced that it is not reliable.otherwise I would get so hopeless because in my case it is still "we have received your application'

Ramz is right you guys...I am a student, living with my parents. Never had a full time job and put $0 as my income. I even asked the immigration officer during out interview if there would be any problems and he had said that spouses don't need to meet the minimum income requirement.
