Hi all,

I called the CIC today to ask about my sponsorship approval and after a looong wait on the phone an agent answered me....she aske me about my info and put me on hold and after she said that my application was recived and I'm gonna get the letter on the first week of November! and didnt say anything more than that, and she didnt gave me any file number. did you think that there is something wrong if she didnt gave me a client number or it is noraml and should expect it in the letter? because I was worried about having my package back!

Hi Mohammedm123 This happened to me when I called back in April - they didn't give me a file number but then I called back and asked them for it so I could watch ecas for an answer and they gave it to me. But I think your file is probably all good because when I had phoned they told me my file was belong sent back to me. Thakfully you will hear news soon

I meant that when I first applied to Mississauga and I called them to see if my sponsorship was approved they told my that my file was being sent back to me. A few days later we received our entire file back and we had to fix it before sending it in again. So I was thinking that since they told you that you would be getting a letter then that is good news.... otherwise they might say your file is being returned. I hope I explained it ok!!!!!

My MP just called me and said she received an update from Damascus. The file was received January 18, and it is in queue . I like that, as if I dont know this...Seriously, they need to do something about this lengthy process.

I know they're not much help. Any success with emailing the embassy? I have sent emails to them from 2 months ago, still with no reply. Let me know if you do end up emailing them, and if you get a reply.

that will be a good news for Lebanese and Palestinians too. stupid hezbollah and hamas fans should understand that islamic iran is the biggest threat to the peace in middle east.

not to mention, saddam, ghazafi, mobarak, asad in terms of brutality and dictatorship are nothing compared to khumeini and khamenei.


how is this related to this forum? because of this stupid islamic revolution we are stuck with this government. prior to 1978, iranians did not even travel to canada let alone immigrating! after 10 years in canada, i have never met anyone who has come to canada before 1982.

canada has lost its creditability in human rights. conservative government only cares about money. shamelessly they publish that sponsorship is 4 months for chinese but 22 months for colombians. why? why?

why don't they send some asshole officers from china to syria? don't we have enough chinese in canada? 40% is not enough? they can easily get visitor and student visa as opposed to people in middle east who should wait 3 month even for the result (usually negative!!).

Don't worry your time will come! Just be patient. Everyone has to go through some struggles in their life but the reward will come in the end. Think of the time when you and your spouse will be together and how happy that moment will be! This is only a small, small portion of a very big life that you and your spouse will live (inshallah with happiness). Remember, good things come to those who wait!

But why do I see people celebrating his death? Celebrate the freedom of the Libyan people but dont do it in a way that disgraces your morals.

Do not celebrate the loss of anyones life, rather thank God for yours !
