khalid there is no special form that they send you , there is one in the applicaton form that you can print off CIC its one paper in the document where you fill out that the application is going to mississauga your wifes name and address she takes it with her to one of the DR that they have on the list on CIC she pays 6000 syrian pounds gets the tests done he takes that paper from her he sends it to paris then he gives her a yellow paper (receipt that she forwards to damasus she needs to send the original one. u dont need the embassies ok for it !!!

When CIC Damascus Office requested further information and documents be sent by my wife last April, I had been in Jordan, we were to the TWO DESIGNATED PRACTITIONERS in Jordan to have the medical examination done; they both told us that: "We can't do the medical exam unless we have a stamped form with an affixed photo". That's why we couldn't do so.

So happy for you! Any sign of life from Damascus gives so much hope! I hope the last steps will go by very quickly for you!

Yup our application has been in Damascus for about 5 1/2 months. We were asked in June to pay the final fees but have heard nothing since. I am sponsoring my husband from Iran. We have 3 little ones (2,3 and 5 yrs old) and we miss him like crazy!!!! How about you? sponsoring your wife/husband? our timelines are pretty close, only 1 month apart

i hope and pray you will reunite with your husband very soon , in terms of my application i am sponsoring my husband , we got married in Decembre i applied in mid march and paid all the payment right away as well as he did the medical exam so we are impatiently waiting to be reunited i visited him this july for 1 month and im still waiting .....

Khaled, you are right about each file is different, and each case is different,and i agree that if file is complete and all the papers/documents are up to date and valid it should take normal processing time, keep in mind that all processing time for all countries are increasing every quarter, back in 2009 damascus had 8 months now it is 13, they work slowly and specially after the canadian election with the new immigration minister advised so.

I am also wondering who's husband or wife is from SYRIA not lebanon , i have noticed syria files get processed a little bit quicker then lebanese maybe because of the security checks......anyone from syria ?

hey Ramz ..im from syria ..but i mentioned that the embassy asked for more documents on jun 2011 ..since that time we r waiting .. ya3ni almost 3 months n half we r waiting n my hubby called mp they told him the application finished review n now in process i did not understand wat does it mean in process have u any idea ??precess to go another steps ??? or wat? thankss
