There are two steps in processing family sponsorship applications. In order to know the total approximate time it may take for your application to be processed, ADD the time in step 1 to the time in step 2 (the two steps are consecutive). :'(

i don't wanna upset u parastoo but in the site of syria, they wrote that the duration "13 months" is from the day they receive ur file in damascus (the entire file) until it ends...

My MP was better. She was able to obtain an update in a few hours following my request. But she told me to contact her again if we didn't hear anything before early december which pissed me off. I had a hard time explaining her that i have already waited for 13 months since my application reached damascus. She then said to contact her again early november. However, she was thorough. She told me that the review on my file is complete and waiting for an officer to check my wife's medical report and police clearence. She thinks this is the last step in the process. I hope she is right. Now we have to wait for next week InshaAllah khair

I was wondering the same thing, but I think everything has changed because of syria's situation, I have a friend of mine his wife got her visa on April 2011 who is also from Iraq and she was supposed to come after ramadhan, but they delyed her and still waiting, they don't know when she could come!

Bt recently most ppl I know within 6-7 month n latest last month it was 7 month for iraqi person as well I believe we have priority hopefully

Bt recently most ppl I know within 6-7 month n latest last month it was 7 month for iraqi person as well I believe we have priority hopefully

Yeah same here, I have a lot of friends they waited only 6-7 months especially last year everything went fast no delay!!
and for me , I still wait for my sponsorship approval! I sent my application on july, but I was waiting to finish all the required docs from iraq for almost 2 yrs , so now I even start to forget about this process, I waited almost 2 yrs to get everything done from iraq and now have to wait at least 8-9 months hay atha mo 13 months!! I have a lot of friend who got married after me and sponsered their wives after me and came to canada, but I think i have a bad luck with papers and immigration stuff, bs allah karim
