basita ya sohrab (translation from Arabic = take it easy), Abu-Dhabi is so much slower, can u imagine 27 months, it's hell; Singapore is also so slow not to mention countries from Central America, Africa; lots of things changed since 90s; we cannot go back then, the whole world changed; we just need to be strong and patient...it's also their right to check everyone as much as they want unfortunately we r not in the best place in the world; also, the process is slow because a lot of people from the regions mentioned played with their system and still do, so the honest ones have to suffer...that's always like this
just give them credit that they try to finish everyone fast, and 8-9 months is fast in comparison, and as Yaya said they r not bad, they just try to do their job...so many people got their PPR this week, congrats and many more will and soon it will b ur turn, just be patient...

(i hope we'll b in ur table at some point ;) ) good luck for all and Happy Canada Day!!

well said ! it's always because of those who abuse the system that
others have to suffer! where are you sponsoring from?

Hi all,
I need some advice if anybody can help.
my husband's medical exam will expire very soon (July 12, 2011), so I think there is no chance for him to get his PPR before that date , so what should we do?
and until the embassy figure out that my husband's medical exam has expired, 2 3 4 months will elapse before them knowing that the medical expired, so should I wait till the embassy ask us to undergo a new medical exam? or should I ask my husband to do a new medical exam next week just in case?
how long does it take the embassy to receive the medical exam results? I heard it takes 4-6 weeks? Is that true? :-\

any suggestions would really be appreciated.
thanks all :)

either damascus or abu-dhabi; we don't know yet :( either one has good and bad

congrats on ur final nagz, where did u graduate from, Concordia? :D pm me if u don't want to answer here

wardeh, i would wait for them to ask me for the new medicals, let them work at their pace and in the order they need, and yeah it will take around 6 weeks for the new medicals to reach (this from what i saw from other forum members) but if it gives u peace of mind to do them by urself i don't think it's anything wrong

good luck all!!

take care all

what kind of papers are they asking from you??

My case is the opposite of alialialrikabi. I applied in August 2010 and I have not been contacted for 9 months. They don't even bother themselves to confirm the receipt of my e-mails for change of address or medical test. Unfortunately all the values and respects have disappeared and the culture of humiliating each other is getting popular. We have been separate for 1 year with all the family responsibilities, emotional, and economic problems. It takes only a few hours to fully verify our documents.

I wonder what kind of extensive background checks they make. Seriously how much information do you really need about someone. my husband's never been to jail , has never been married, is not part of any political party , and yet they ask us for totally RANDOM ridiculous things.

i am not impatient at all, its simply an opinion of being sick of this stupid process, what does patience have to do with it?! its not a brain scan..... anyways everyone has a different opinion but i feel its simply a useless process, and 18 years doesnt make any sense, obviously its not sponsorship
