Not sure if it's Ankara's fault. I just received this article in the e-mail (from almost a month ago): http://www.cicsnews.com/?p=1576alireza_77 said:Guys I think the officer who is responsible for pprs is on vacation. What the heck is going on in Ankara?
I'll look at it once im done with work.solh said:hbehmane, I have sent you a private message, can you please check your inbox....thanks
it is one stupid reason to hold everyone back because of some senseless background screening..i understand and agree with all the screening when it comes down to someone that might hurt canada and its people..but not all of the applicants have connections to the gov, most of them dont even like that government so why should we pay for the mistakes of others again...im sick and tired of this senseless processing, its stupid!!!...and im tired of the excuses cic makes...atise said:Not sure if it's Ankara's fault. It says "Iranians applying for immigration to Canada are being rigorously screened by the Canadian government for links to the Iranian political leadership. Kenney cited the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), saying it bars any one linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard ... the Basij or senior members of the regime from immigrating to Canada". Now you have to wonder how they can identify connection between applicants and the Iranian government, Basij and Sepah from Ottawa, without even having an embassy in Iran??!!! ???
I hope it's not yet in effect ... Hopefully getting many pprs tomorrow would change the mood here!!
I know! Most of us have spent all our adult life to this point in school, and the female ones haven't even done any military service ... so security screening should take only 10 minutes for people like me! There is nothing there to check!Kurdistan-kazhal said:it is one stupid reason to hold everyone back because of some senseless background screening..i understand and agree with all the screening when it comes down to someone that might hurt canada and its people..but not all of the applicants have connections to the gov, most of them dont even like that government so why should we pay for the mistakes of others again...im sick and tired of this senseless processing, its stupid!!!...and im tired of the excuses cic makes...

It's sad. But I know Ankara's got a lot more organized compare to 4,5 months ago. I'm sure the new processing time update (their December update) will be approximately 10 months. 99% of people waiting since late 2011 to early 2012 will get visa before or right after winter holidays, I assure younelly* said:Getting so hacked off how long this process is taking! i know i am at the beginning of this process but I think it's very unfair that some VO processing time is so much faster than others while it should take the same time to process the same type of visas!!
sorry i don't want to be pessimist but seeing some people here waiting 4 more than a year make me feel like this!
