Hello i just wanna start by saying thank you @SkyEarth as you have been the only source helping through this quebec part. I would like to ask is the invitation to apply for csq clearly states it? I have received the aor and the next day i received an aor that is pdf attaches in the sponsor mail the only difference being is that it says about next step applying for biometrics but nothing about csq? It has been more than 2 months that i applied thank you so much for your time!
You’re very welcome! I’m glad I’ve been a helpful source of information :)

This is what the first page of the 3-page pdf document will look like for the Invitation to Apply to MIFI.

Hello everyone,
In the credit card authorization form for the CSQ, who is the principal applicant? My partner (the sponsor) or me (the principal applicant as per the IRCC definition)?
i’m confused here since the sponsor is responsible for sending the undertaking

Principal applicant is the applicant, not the sponsor. Doesn't really matter which party is making the payment though (where it says "Authorization").

Hi,
For people who submitted Money Order to MIFI. The name has to be that of the Sponsor's on the sender's name for Money Order. Did not want to risk with a returned application in case the payment was declined on Credit card.

When I submitted the forms for CSQ to MIFI. The payment was submitted via Canada Post Money Order. The situation was that the Canada Post agent who was processing my payment wrote my name(Principal Applicant) on the sender's name accidentally. Technically it has to be the Sponsor's name on Money order as the application was directed to sponsor to submit it to MIFI.
I called IRCC and enquired about it and the agent said that there is no problem about who is paying but I had to attach an explanation letter with the documents explaining this just to be on the safe side.

We submitted our application to MIFI on the 23rd of August and still have not received the CSQ or any further communication from MIFI since the Accusé de reception. which was dated August 30th. So we are in the same boat of expecting to receive it soon based on the posted timelines on the MIFI website, but still nothing yet.

Hopefully they can at least still transmit it to the IRCC quickly even if our copy in the mail is delayed due to the strike.

In my specific case, they took our payment exactly one week after receiving our application. The Accusé de reception was dated on the day the payment was taken, and we received that document in the mail one week after that, exactly two weeks after our application was received. But I'm sure this timeline can vary.

We also mailed our application for our CSQ on September 3rd. I called 2 time this week … they told me that a decision hasn't been taken and they are still processing my application. It's starting getting really stressfull and annoying all that waiting. Especially with the cap they put and the poste Canada strike.. i feel like we will never received it
