We submitted the file online. We were told the standard processing time of 12 to 18 months. They just have to do better. We don't mind paying extra so they can shorten the processing times. Our time is far more precious than paying extra money.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m in USA too waiting for my husband’s CR also. We applied on July 2023 but received AOR on August. Same consulate. Are counting the 18 months since you applied or since AOR?

April 26, 2023 is the date I was notified that my application had been placed in their processing queue. I mailed it in approximately 2 weeks prior.

Are you applying for PR? Because I’m applying for PR and I didn’t get final decision. I’m thinking they are waiting for my CR to give me final decision for my PR application.

I applied for PR las year Feb 2023. And applied for CR on July 2023. It is possible to get my PR approved before the CR? Does anyone else has been in the same situation?

Hello. My husband applied for CR in March 2023 through the NY Consulate. We did not use a lawyer but we provided a robust application with testimonials, travel history and examples of rehabilitation. Over the 1.5 years, we have completed additional international trips and submitted that information. He previously was granted a TRP for Canada in 2016 and last year secured a “special direction” visa for New Zealand. We just got his US passport renewed two weeks ago. He has TSA PreCheck. We sent that info in too. Just this past week, Canada Embassy Washington sent an acknowledgement that the new information had been received. This is the first meaningful note since the AOR in late March 2023. We are hopeful for a positive outcome soon. Fingers crossed! I am a bit disappointed that his file has been moved to another office, but it seems NY must be backlogged.

My husband has a CR which he submitted since July 2023, at the New York consulate and still in process.
And we applied for PR on Feb 2023. We received our PAL on Aug 26th 2024. So I applied for GMCS notes, and I received it today. It says: file pending final decision on rehab application. Does anybody has this experience. What can I do?
