I think there's not as much info on that because ECAS doesn't show the date it went into process, so unless people check it every day you won't get an accurate idea. But, looking at the 2015 spreadsheet, it's pretty fast. A week to two weeks.
Ecas does tell you the In Process date. Mine was July 10th. I'm really hoping I get DM any day now.

Whoops you're right, I'll edit that. It's the medicals and DM dates it doesn't show.

Ours was June 18th, and he got visa June 25th. Most of the spreadsheet dates are 1-2 weeks as well. Good luck guys!

Give or take. I was IP on June 10, DM June 30. Still waiting the COPR and/or request for pictures.

IP to DM seems to be relatively quick if there is nothing blocking the application, but this is also the period where some users have gotten a request for CSQ or intent to return to Canada or financials.

Is there anyone here that filed under common-law? And how are your timelines been when your app was transferred to Ottawa and then seeing either In Process or Decision Made? I'm trying to determine if common-law apps are processed slower than married-couple apps.

It's fun, isn't it? Intellectually we know the process is almost over and also almost certainly an approval, but not having the paper-in-hand means that one's (okay, my) brain can dream of of all sorts of things that might have gone wrong.

As far as we have been able to collectively tell, common-law applications do not ordinarily take longer to process. The one exception would be if the visa office needs to ask for more evidence of a year's cohabitation, but that is dependent upon the information supplied at application-time.

Update from the call centre: after some fast-talking I was able to get that nothing has yet been sent for my DM/COPR. This agent was more policy-bound than the one last week, so my script then was still useful but not quite sufficient.

The agent was under the impression that the eCas status for an outland application would update from "the office will contact you regarding this decision" to "we sent you correspondence on <date> about this decision." As far as I am aware, this is entirely false for outland applicants, although I wish very much it were true.

Yeah, that's not true. It stays at "the office will contact you..."
I just got my CoPR in the mail today (I'm 4-5 hours from Ottawa). I wonder why some of the DMs aren't having papers sent out. I was able to confirm that mine was sent out on 7/14 after a 7/13 DM. That said, mine could have been expedited due to likely being misplaced for 9 months.

An update on my side: on Thursday i called again and I spoke to another operator: I explained him the situation and he told me that he was going to do an exception for me. Well, it turns out that my COPR was sent out on July 14th, so here is hoping that this is the week when I finally receive my papers and I can start planning my next adventure.

Good to hear EmSNYC! It seems like several CoPRs here were sent out on 7/14 so hopefully the same for the rest of people waiting here.

You are right, I can assure you that there is no such a line (we sent you correspondence...). The only other line you will get is after landing "name entered Canada at border crossing on date and became a Permanent Resident.

Some people get a new section for PR card later on, but most don't. Ecas is very bad in general.

With the financial request, I'm not sure that yours was "misplaced" so much as "waiting for a supervisor's approval." Based on your request it would seem that the initial agent may have recommended denial, but the followup information you provided was then satisfactory. Potentially negative judgement calls probably need extra approval so that CIC doesn't have to fight losing appeals.

I would perhaps be a bit calmer about my own application, but my GCMS request is now on day 49 of the 30-day response period, give or take a day. I have no idea at all what could go wrong (especially in the absence of any doc request), so I'm inventing implausible explanations.

You could definitely be right. I haven't seen any applications take that long though even after the financial request.

I hope you hear something good soon, Majromax. Would it be worth calling the call centre again and hope you find someone who could tell you when the CoPR had been sent out?
