I'm just as frustrated as you. Even more so because I never got DM after my PPR. Forty two days later, and I still wait. So I have no idea what my status is. I don't know of anyone else who didn't get DM after their PPR. Its like they requested my passport and then tossed my application in a dark corner somewhere and forgot about it. So if other people are getting their DM and still in queue for printing a month later like you are, I must be even further behind, which makes no sense, because I had an easy application. I have no criminal record. Not even a speeding ticket. No military or other government background. I provided all the info they requested with the app so that they would never need to ask for anything, and all they've asked for since is my passport. Most of the people that filed around the same time we did, have gotten their DM and some even their COPR's already. C'est La Vie!Buffy2323 said:jds07- Thanks for the update on the driver's license. It is useful info.
keesio- congrats on a smooth landing.....I'm sure you are happy it is all over.
I went to the States for the weekend and was able to cross back into Canada with no issues. Having the Nexus card has made my life crossing the border SO MUCH easier. There are no longer questions on where I am going/who I am going to see......even when my wife and I cross over together and still don't have PR, there have been no questions. I guess it all just shows up on the screen when we show our Nexus cards.
On the bad side, I STILL haven't gotten COPR. I was hoping it would show up while I was in PA but it didn't, OF COURSE!! I got DM between Sept 13-16 and heard back from CIC on October 1 that my COPR was in queue to print and still nothing!! I just want to get the papers and land. I will waitto import all my belongings between Christmas and New Year.
Does anyone know how long I should wait before contacting CIC again to find out if my COPR has printed and been mailed? I am still concerned that it printed before I contacted them and it is sitting at my attorney's office that is CLOSED for renovations until who knows when!!
Congrats! Was your COPR sent to the US or Canada?danielleb63 said:Weird timing but we actually got the COPR in mail today!!! Hopefully yours is soon as well
I feel your pain. I'm so sorry!! Sometimes I think they get lazy with ecas so maybe they just haven't updated you and you are in queue with us. It can't hurt to contact CIC at this point and just verify they have received your PP you sent and maybe they will give you an update. Good luck!!Passport2Canada said:I'm just as frustrated as you. OMG!! Congrats! We had DM almost exactly the same time so they should have printed close together. Where was your COP sent, Canada or US? And if US, do you mind telling me what state? I hope ours shows up any day!!danielleb63 said:Weird timing but we actually got the COPR in mail today!!! Hopefully yours is soon as well

For anyone curious - It does have a "Conditions Field."
Conditions:
51: Must Cohabit in a conjugal relationship with your sponsor for continuous period of two years after the day on which became a PR
I'm also surveillance code "1" for medical..... they might be on to me.
According to IR 3 "Medical Procedures" this means that you were M19, M29 or M39 with "no medical surveillance" required.jds07 said:I got the same. Any idea what that "1" means?
Appreciate that. Do you have a link for it?computergeek said:According to IR 3 "Medical Procedures" this means that you were M19, M29 or M39 with "no medical surveillance" required.
I emailed CIC about three weeks ago, but received no response. Yeah, ecas should stand for "Extremely Careless About Status".Buffy2323 said:I feel your pain. I'm so sorry!! They are so inconsistant it's ridiculous. My ecas updated on point. A buddy of mine landed 4 months ago and his still says "Application Recieved" It's hard not to be stressed the entire time because of how inconsistant they are.Passport2Canada said:I emailed CIC about three weeks ago, but received no response. The COPR was sent to a Canadian address so yours very well could have been printed and in mail if you're expecting it at US address!!Buffy2323 said:OMG!! Congrats! I am waiting for US address so I hope it will show up ASAP. My mom is checking religiously for me.danielleb63 said:The COPR was sent to a Canadian address so yours very well could have been printed and in mail if you're expecting it at US address!!
Yes. It is legal. Neither the US nor Canada have any laws prohibiting sending a passport via mail or courier outside the country.sonal.canada said:Dear Members,
I applied for my husband's PR application which was received by CPP-Ottawa on 12th March 2013. He works in USA and is Indian Citizen and I live in Canada.
Today we got a request to send passport to CPP-Ottawa. I have couple of questions:
1. Can we send passport from USA to Canada (CPP-Ottawa) by Fed-ex? is it legal?
Ideally, it is best if you can arrange for it to be sent back via courier as well; the instructions should indicate if this is permitted. If they do not permit a courier return envelope my advice would be for you to purchase a prepaid mailer from Canada Post for express service to either you (in Canada) or your husband (in the USA). Have him send his passport to you, then you put the Canada Post Express envelope in with his passport - and if it is being sent back to you I'd advise including a signed letter from him asking them to return it to you with the enclosed envelope - and mail the entire package to CPP-O.sonal.canada said:2. if not how the system works?
