I'm new to this topic - also this is my first comment on this site - but have checked almost everyday how things go for you guys. And I'm happy to tell you that I got the PPR today! Here is my info.

Good morning to all!! I just wanted to do a quick update for everyone. I am going back to the US for the long weekend, leaving in a few hours. No COPR yet. :-[ Anyone who needs updated between now and Monday, please send me a PM and I will update when I get back. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving weekend (seems SO strange to say that in October!!) We will spend it shopping, eating, and watching football. Just like I would do for US Thanksgiving!!

Hopefully when I get back I will have a COPR and be landed......still have hope it will show up there in the next few days.

I don't know yet.
My file as well as a bunch of other files with similar timelines were transferred back around the same time frame.

We are thinking it's one of two things:
1- Ottawa processed as much as they could and reached a dead end so they transferred the file back to Beirut for final security check and visa issuance.
2- Someone decided it was a bad idea to transfer our files to CPP-O and sent them back to Beirut.

All this is just speculation. I ordered a set of GMCS notes as soon as I found out about the transfer, and should have them within the coming couple of weeks. It should help us clarify things a bit.

Shoot!! So if I get a job that requires a Canadian driver's license I will have to wait 70 plus extra days? Also, what will this do to me importing my car? Don't I have only 60 days to switch over license/insurance? So if I land and import car on the same day and PR card takes 70 plus days to get to me I would be out of compliance to get my driver's license. Is that correct?

I had a BC license long before I became a PR. What they wanted to see was my visitor extension showing I was able to be here for more than 6 consecutive months, after you show them that proof they issue you a license no problem. That was no problem showing considering I had to extend my stay anyway. I also got MSP right after sponsorship approval. The only reason they asked for my license was to confirm my identity.

Hey everyone.....was hoping someone might be able to shed a little light on my question....short little background story...sponsoring my husband..we have been married for 2 years together for 7..he is american....me canadian....Our application was received in Ottawa feb 8...sponsporship received March 15th.....On August 12th he received ppr request also proof of our communication and the orginal FBI report as he accidently sent in a copy of it....This was all received Sept 4th according to the tracking number....My question is we still have not heard anything back as far as decision made etc....does anyone have any idea as to how long it may take after having to send in that kind of additional information....We are just both so tired of being apart and are so hoping this is all finished with soon....thanks in advance for any and all help you have given..
