That's how we got our Siberian - he was a stray in a dormitory in Moscow.

we just made the drive from texas all the way up to ontario yesterday morning. Parents were super excited to see their grandson.
Had zero trouble crossing at Sarnia. Brought our cat with us and the officer didnt even look at the rabies certificate, much less care that we had her with us. He was actually super friendly too. Overall a great experience thus far!

So hopefully ottawa starts gaining some steam. I'm also hoping I wont need to file for extension hehe :

How long was the drive? I'll be coming from Houston up to the Kitchener area. So probably crossing in Sarnia too. Possible in two days?

it took us around 32 hours though from stephenville (out SW of DFW area). We stopped at a rest area in oklahoma to take a 4 hour nap, and again in michigan for a 4 hour nap. Since you're coming from Houston tho, add 5 hours to the drive just for getting out of Texas I would say its definitely possible in 2 days. We're currently in Woodstock

I would recommend crossing in Sarnia if you can. Detroit is horrible

That's too funny, I'm another Texan making the drive. I was telling my husband about this, and we were discussing the trip. He will pull a trailer from Alberta down to Austin, hopefully with his dad and son, and then haul me and my belongings in a 16 foot trailer back to Canada. He's going to need a tranquilizer dart to keep me sedated for a trip this long! We'll make the crossing at Coutts.

Hi, We are thinking of landing on Sunday at thousand island bridge. My husband is here with me now visiting me. he does not have a visitor record as he comes from the US and was never given one. Now we just received the COPR in the mail... so happy ;D . We would like to drive to the border on Sunday, do the landing and go back in a couple of weeks with our trailer to pick up his stuff. That would mean that we would have very little on the B4 form but lots on the B4A form. is that OK? Will that look funny if we do it this way??? just wondering what you fine people think thank you,.

We filled out a B4 for the landing day and a B4 for the goods to follow, especially vehicles . Not sure if that was correct, but we landed April 5th at 1000 Islands and we had no problems. He stamped all three B4 forms. We filled it out as suggested on page one of the Outland Application Thread said to do. We made general categories and then made lists of specific on the excel spreadsheets. Printed out two copies. Do you need to import the vehicle or trailer? They need to be on the forms too. Not sure it is the right way to do them, but we had no problems. They never even looked in our truck or trailer.

Nice to hear. Yes, we will be importing a vehicle later on. For now, we will be using my vehicle to go visit his family in the US and then land on the way back. We will import his truck in a couple of weeks. Well.. we will do our best with the forms but it sounds like they were not too strict..... tks for sharing.

So now I have a question... you're talking about landing and then going back for your things... I thought that once you landed, you were supposed to stay until you received your PR card, or there could be problems when you tried to return??

We still have not gotten his stuff. There's no time limit to go get your stuff.
