I can only relate my experience which is recent, landed in April. Once the COPR is received you can land anytime. There is an expiration date on the COPR, which might correspond with the one year date of your medicals. Be sure to check that. No appt needed to land at a border crossing. I...

My impression that export and import are for vehicles you own and are going to leave in Canada. A U-Haul is rented and will be returned to U-Haul, they should know what to do. We crossed in April with a truck and trailer(our own) and the truck was the only item we needed to export. My husband...

I imported two vehicles. It really wasn't that bad. I had to send the original title, a copy of the bill of sale to the export office where you will be crossing- 48 hours ahead of time. The guy told me send it now, never too early. I also enclosed a letter stating my expected date of...

There was quite a thorough bank conversation a few pages back. My husband Canadian and I am a PR, 2 weeks yea! . however we have had bank accounts in both countries, trying for years to find a way to transfer money between countries. We had a Royal bank acct in the US that has now been bought...

I did not fill out a B4A. I couldn't find one online to fill in and I didn't want to hand write it so I did a B4 for goods to follow as well. May not be right but we'll see when I bring in my goods to follow in June. But to list out items I typed on an excel spreadsheet. There are two...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I thought the B4 forms were the most stressful forms to fill out. So as I look at my form I put country of Origin USA and country of export Canada. It says in the top left hand corner that shaded areas are for CBSA only so I left the K22 space blank. I think Settler is the correct choice. I...

We filled out a B4 for the landing day and a B4 for the goods to follow, especially vehicles . Not sure if that was correct, but we landed April 5th at 1000 Islands and we had no problems. He stamped all three B4 forms. We filled it out as suggested on page one of the Outland Application...

Not clear what you are asking? What are paper plates? Temporary? Do you have a registration? Is it that you are visiting?

On the TD website it mentions US bill pay, and transferring up to $25000 without fees. Not sure about ATM fees. Try TD Canada Trust. The TD thing has you open a TD USA acct and a Canadian Acct. So you will still have two accts, but I'm thinking the money is transferable without charge...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Just went to the TD website and they have cross border banking. I had gone into a US TD branch and asked and they said no they didn't do that, but that was a year or two ago. It looks like now there is something. Might be something to look into, if you are near a US TD branch. I know there...

I did not include any financial information on the b4. The agents ask the usual question about having $10000 with you. I have used PayPal, thing is they always put holds on your money when it gets here to Canada. I have heard not to close your US acct as it might be hard to reopen as a non...

There is a section on the B4 form called conveyances this is where I listed car. It states to list the make, model and serial number, which is where I put the VIN #. We drove from Florida to the border. We took three days as the hours, at the export office were 8-4. We didn't want to arrive...

We decided to import ours because our vehicles are relatively new, and paid off. I have read there are problems, such as dealers not honoring a warranty. I guess if you have an older vehicle, the warranty doesn't matter. Or that when you want to resell it, it isn't as marketable. All things...
