Consultants or On Your Own?

don't take it otherwise, but i think this topic must be over now. we r here to help and share with each other. we r not here to bash/favor some individual or company. now as Pooja has read everything, she must have already made up her mind whether or not to go through ww***.

Pooja, my only advise to u is meet with at least 4-5 consultants (if u want to file ur case through one) and then make ur decision.

they take the case only when they are sure that u'll get the visa (or they say so). so, if you don't get the visa for soem reason, do they refund the money also.

They will take your case even if you do not stand any chance of success. Yes the contract says that they will return most of your money should you be refused visa but read their small print and its not easy to get the money back from them.

One of my friends applied through them in 2001. They misguided him that he could apply as an accountant as he was B.Com with accounts experience. Well his case was rejected as chc delhi said that he did not hold proper account certification. Ooops the "very professionals" according to Jitz did not know their job. After the rejection this professional company made him to write down all the questions/answers at the interview (yes Jitz for your information he got interview call) and so they could learn from the poor chap's miserable experience... what a professional approach Jitz. A personal question Jitz are they still following the hit and trial method or have they learned enough from the experiece of the rejected cases.... just asking you need not answer if you are uncomfortable with it.Then came the point of return of fee, eventully they did minus the "administrative" charges or should I say misadministration charges when he threatened them to go to press/media. Yes they are popular as popularity can be bought with the immense resources (read your fees) at their disposal. If you go to another discussion forum immigration dot ca and look up the 2004 archieved thread you will find many clients of this "reputed" company who have claimed that their documents were submitted later then the last date of submission. Ooooops even their courier serivices are worse than snail postal services. And mind you unlike in the old applicants case where a few days/weeks late submission was acceptable in the fast track if your doucments do not reach the last submission date and the visa officer opens your file be sure of the consequences of non-complaince of request to submit documents.

Yes if you are uneducated, can not read or write English (in which case you will not qualify) and can not understand the simple questions in the forms and have lot of money to pay for the "courier" service they offer then go for them.

And Jitz may I unashamedly ask how much commission is offered to an "agent" who gets a innocent client for this well connected company. By the way does it seem to you that I know too much inside information at this reputed company.And for God sake stop making the bogus claim of having an excellent reputation with CHC. I think you may want rewrite their history.....

People will always complain. Once you are in Canada that what you should be worried about and I know WWI!CS has helped people with employment at least get them started . Most immigration firms just bring you here and that it. Anyway its up to the individual to use the service , all i can say don't read BS see for yourself or talk to people how gone through it.

Everyone is different you really don't know what happened or is happening with their cases. I just can speak for myself and other that i know that came through they are pretty satisfied. Canada is not a rosy picture but working hard you can make it.

You can go through the process on your own ,but going through them will surely help , just that you have to be on top of your case with them and things will go through fine. Any way that my own option the rest it your on owns

I just saw this crap material while surfing on internet. I dont know its true or not because the thing I came to know is people posting content against WWI!CS are their competitors and are fake so dont go with their complaints.

Just think and apply your mind whether you want to go with one-night agents or with a company which is settled from more then 15-16 years.

In my opinion, if your papers and documents are genuine and meets the immigration criteria, either go yourself or thru any agent but bay in mind get some advice from them before paying them

Here's my two cents:

To cut a long story short, MOST consultants ARE thugs. The internet is full of stories about how these SOBs fleece candidates and play with their time, money and career. I'm from India, and I know about "*****". I have heard about their filthy ways of dealings from a few friends of mine. I know a couple of self-proclaimed Canada-Australia-New Zealand visa gurus in Kolkata. I have personally interacted with them, and found them to be absolute cons. In fact, the lack of their basic knowledge is shocking....more shocking is to comprehend that THESE persons will actually try to procure visa for candidates that to in a PROFESSIONAL manner. I have come across numerous internet posts saying that candidates going through consultants are yet to know their own file number, despite their process being ON and in advanced or semi-advanced stages. Yes, these consultants have gone to that extent. I have also seen cases where consultants have charged candidates 3 or 4 times the official fee before handing them over documents for Medicals.

I'm sure there ARE honest consultants....but I am yet to get any of their names.

Now comes the million dollar (CAD of course) question..... Consultant or DIY ?
See, my common sense says, why waste time to find these rare breed of animals( honest consultants, I mean)??? And why waste money when it can be saved???? And this cannot be termed as cutting corners. www.cic.gc.ca is very very comprehensive. Spend time reading it inside out. You'd know EVERYTHING you need to know. Then go ahead accordingly and step by step. Never try to jump logical steps. In fact this is the way I myself (with 200% effort from my wife though) adopted and have been successful.

MOTTO: DO IT YOURSELF. Period

Next time you need need your kidney stone taken out, make sure that you "DO IT YOURSELF"

Why are you so very much worked up? He never mentioned that ALL the consultants are thugs. It's a fact that most of the consultants are thugs. If you want to close your eyes and turn away from the true fact, then it's your choice; but it will never change the truth.
Immigration application process of Canada is an easy step by step procedure which is very very well described in their official website. We all have successfully done it by ourselves so it's a proven fact that it's easy. Doesn't matter who thinks what....but we all, who have done it on our own, do believe and very well know that it's easy and nothing/no one can change it.
please do not compare "kidney stone removal" with Canadian immigration visa application procedure. There're hell and heaven difference between these two procedures and cannot be compared at all. It's really funny to see such non-intellectual posting from some matured person. Shall we consider cockroach a bird just because it also can fly?
