Citizenship Change of Address

I have applied for my citizenship application from within Canada and have completed my citizenship test. However, I will be moving to the USA for a couple of years,so want to know whether we can change our address to a USA address or do we need to provide a temporary Canadian address like that of a family friend?

Change the mailing address from where you can safely receive the citizenship certificate.
Its better to change both address to that good address since i have seen someone received their certificate at home address instead of mailing address.
If the current address you have is good enough to receive your certificate then dont change it.
I wouldnt change the address to US entirely since few officers might put the file pending till you move back.

Yeah, I called a couple of times and got through. Haven't been able to verify if the address was changed.

Yeah. Everytime i called IRCC i can get through the call. You just have to wait whatever time they ask you to wait.

You can raise a webform request and attach address proof with it.

Can i attach temporary driver's licence with it as a supporting document.
Because it might take 14 days to receive the driver's licence.
Also for web form which option should I choose ? Change in contact information or Add supporting documents.
Change in contact information doesn't have an option to upload. Please advice. Thanks.

@Rahul Ram well, just wait for the new ID before you make the correction. It's nothing urgent. IRCC mostly communicates by email after all, only the fingerprint request is done by snail mail, and since it's only the unit number, the letter would still make it to your lobby if sent by the time you send the correction or the time it takes IRCC to see it...
