It's the child Canadian passport application.JW82 said:And how do you that there is no form for that
Hi there this morning I went into the CDN consulate here in Guangzhou to drop off my 30days old baby application for citizenship. I bought my original CDN passport, my original CDN citizenship card, my baby's translated and certified copy birth cert, my translated and certified marriage cert, my wife's original chinese passport and two photos of my baby and the completed CIT 0001 form. They didn't take any of my originals, whatever they need they just did photocopies. Hope this will help.helloimmigrationworld said:Hello Dko,
I saw you have applied in person, did you carry the original with you, what did you do.
thanks
Its the same as child passport application form. CIC will know its a limited validity passport by looking at the child's age and missing citizenship certificate.Dko said:Hello happy holidays!
Anyone have experience filling out the 'child passport' form for a limited validity passport for a newborn?
Thanks!
If the child's father was a Canadian citizen (born or naturalized in Canada) when the child was born, then she is automatically a Canadian citizen. The father doesn't have to apply for citizenship, but rather just for "proof" of citizenship. As to your other questions, it depends on who has legal custody of the child. If you have a document giving you legal custody, then that document should be honoured in Canada. If you don't have such a document, and if the father insisted on keeping her in Canada, the matter would likely go to court.Wahreswunder said:Hey everybody! Please, help me with information! I am Russian citizen permanent living in Germany with my 3 years old daughter. She was born in Germany and have Russian and Italian citizenchip. Her father is a Canadian citizen and he did already apply for canadien citizenship for my daughter one years ago. I don't want it. Soon we want to visit him in Canada. It is possible without my wishes to get for child a citizenchip, stay with a father and don't let she coming back to Germany? I have only a tourist visa for Canada and don't want stay longer like a one month.
Because your mom wasn't Canadian at time of your birth, since your grandfather never registered your mother as Canadian. Your mother got her citizenship back as canadian under revised descent 2009 law. Two reasons you cannot get citizenship through your mother: 1. As your mother is 2nd generation canadian, she cannot pass her citizenship and 2. (very important fact here), your mother wasn't Canadian at the time of your birth.casper32 said:Good afternoon,
I have read many threads on here and i'm still very confused, my grandfather was born in Canada 1930 and died a Canadian citizen as his last passport was a Canadian one, he had 5 children in England and never gave up his citizenship, my mother was born in 1961 the middle of the 5 children, as far as I know my grandfather didn't register the births with the Canadian government, so from what I have seen on these threads is that my mother is a Canadian citizen by descent and here's the bit that confuses me,
I was born in 1983 and with some threads i've seen I fall in an area where I am a citizen by descent but the threads and cic say that as a second generation "citizen" I don't become a citizen by descent, any clarification on this would be great, Thank you
P.S please don't point me in the direction of the cic website as that is part of the confusion, Thanks again
If he has the correct documents (including a birth certificate showing him as the father) and photos, the answer is most likely yes.Wahreswunder said:Thank you very much for a important information! It's mean, the father of my child can get a citizenchip cart and travel passport of our child without me?
Yes, I agree with screech on this. Unfortunately, you are not a Canadian citizen because your mother's birth was not registered. She is a citizen as of April 17, 2009, but as the 2nd generation born abroad, you are not. If your mother had known, she had the ability up until 2004 to register her own birth, thereby making her a citizen from birth and you a citizen also. Now, however, that avenue is closed.casper32 said:Good afternoon,

Hi there, I submitted my newborn's CDN citizenship app on dec8.15 at the CDN consulate in Guangzhou. I haven't done the limited validity passport yet because I don't have an exact travel date. The consulate said the processing time is about 7-9 months. So can I apply for the limited validity passport after receiving the citizenship?screech339 said:Its the same as child passport application form.
