Hello Guys,
Congratulations to all who got their passports back, including me.. heheh..We got our passports back August 1st..
Please allow me to share to you all the adventure of getting our passports.
CHC London has confirmed to me the Airwaybill number for our passports, from the time I got it I've been checking it online. Stupid me I was putting the wrong number that's why it was appearing as invalid and I was really giving up. (I've attached my previous post so you won't get lost in the story.. heheh..)
Anyway, one fine day (August 1) my husband has thought of checking the airwaybill from Aramex's website and there it was... a status saying "picked up from the shipper" waaahhh.. I immediately called Aramex to find out where it is exactly but they couldn't tell. So what we have decided was to drive all the way to Aramex Abu Dhabi to pick up the passports, Thank God along the way the shipment was confirmed that it has been delivered to their office. So we reached there and OMG..I almost didnt get the package because all the packages has to be sorted first before it can be distributed but the gentleman who I was dealing was kind enough to go the extra mile and they managed to get my package. I was so anxious about everything before I could get hold of my package.. " Are there two passports inside?, Did we really get the visa?, "... All my fears disappeared right after I opened the package.. OMG I was almost in tears... Thank God we got our passports with visas and the COPR and my husband can go home and be with his family.
So end result of all these.. we landed August 4 and confirmed Permanent Residents... one conflict though and we are praying that it will be fine.. the country of birht from my husband's COPR was wrong. The immigration officer was kind enough to amend it from her system but it didnt work. So now she amended it from the hard copy and adviced us that if the immigration office rejected that, they will send us the amended COPR for my husband and he has to do land again.. Ugggh!!! (I pray to God that we don't have to do that anymore).
Customs was smooth, didn's ask us much. I got my Form B4A ready so he just signed it and put the barcode on the paper. Applying for health Card and SIN... I think this is very important, you should all apply first for the SIN card then the health card. The health card requires a proof of address and the most valid proof of address that you can give is your SIN card application.
I think I had enough to write, ALL THE BEST to each and everyone in this forum... God bless...

Hi Guys,
I'm new to this forum, but I've been reading the thread and it's really helpful.
I sent our passports to CHC London for visa stamping last June 17 and they received June 18. Our status changed to DM July 15 I think. We were actually patient enough to wait for our passport though we are targeting to land in Canada by July 28 (very ambitious.. which is today) but a very unfortunate thing happened to our family last July 16 that I have to send an email to CHC London to request for our passports to be sent back as soon as possible. I sent an couple of email July 16, left a voice mail also when I called CHC London, then I got a reply July 19 they told me that my husband's visa stamping is still on process. Then I sent them an email again asking them to send it soon as possible coz my husband needs to home to be with his family and they replied back on July 22 informing me that the visa stamping for my husband's passport is done and they will be forwarding our passports to Abu Dhabi. They also gave me the airway bill from Aramex.
However, until now I still don't have our passports. I have been checking the airway bill number from Aramex's website but the number is coming invalid. I tried calling the Embassy in Abu Dhabi but as expected no one is answering the call. I called Aramex also to check about the airway bill and they have no record also.
I think the email is legit because they have copied in my agency to let them know about the latest progress of my application, but yeah I still don't have our passports back.
Please if anyone can share their similar experience when it comes to receiving the passports from Aramex.
Thanks...
