CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

AOA all,

I am just starting the sponsorship process for my wife, (got married in Lahore a month ago ). I have a question about the fees, do I pay the "Principal applicant" fee of $475.00 or do I need to pay "Spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner" fee of $550.00.

Assalam o alaikum all

My husband applied for me on 27th Jan 2015. The application status shows 'Decision made' .What does this mean? Has the sponsor evaluation been done or it is gonna start now? It says :

We received your application to sponsor ___ on January 27, 2015.

We started processing your application on March 25, 2015.

We sent you a letter on March 28, 2015 about the decision on your application.

This is normal...you have checked your application status...the main thing is the PR status...that would show application received....your application has been received and approved for processing...now sit back relaxed and wait for a year...keep checking your mails and permanent residence status.

It just means that a decision was made on if she/he was approved to sponsor her/his spouse, nothing strange about it. Now you must wait until you go through the process as its not even 6 months since they applied to CIC Immigration............................

I am returning to Canada with my spouse soon.
Besides the passport (with visa) and the Confirmation of Permanent Residence paper, does she need to bring any other documents to show to the Canadian immigration officer on landing?

The B4 form. If your spouse is carrying valuables, she needs to fill the b4 form n keep it with her. Just in case if they ask for it.

Salam and thank you. I don't know why they ask for copies of pages from Passport. Must be to see if she traveled more. I see that you are a 2012 case, you have done a new medical and that is good to read here. If your case had no new medical I would worry that something is wrong but since it is done I really think that your case will be done soon In Sha Allah.

It really breaks my heart the length of time they take to process cases as it is unjust really. But the fact is that Visa Officers do not want to go to Pakistan and you well they have no Embassy in Afghanistan so its harder for your people as they must send to another country. I hope and pray that your case is done soon May Allah help you both and may your case be done soon In sha Allah.......
