To each their own!

Nowadays, applications are going straight to London, as did yours & im telling you guys better appreciate how lucky you are lol

Back when I applied in Jan 2013, my application went to Mississauga for step-1 approval, then to CPC-Ottawa, then to CHC-Islamabad and finally at end of July 2014 to CHC-London. After collecting all that dust from all parts of the world, they finally opened and worked on my application at the end of September 2014.

And tbh my case was not as "startight forward" as most Pakistani marriages... So I felt the need to provide all the additional proofs which I am sure expedited my process and helped us avoid the treacherous interview queue.

So in the end, no one can force you to submit this or that, it's all up to you!

Best of luck.

Yes you are right, send as many proofs as possible, but i did not send any email or my personal msgs, chat history or anything....u can check my timeline, my application package was less than 1 kg... Jan 2014 i helped my friend with his application he submitted exactly the same way as i did, and his package was less thn 1 kg, his file was tranferred to london on 1 march, his wife received medical request on dec 22....

So i will not advise anyone to send personal chats and emails...

Khan, Most of the cases aren't as straight forward as people portray them(perhaps the reason they say "there is no such thing called normal"). each and every case has its own baggage with it in one way or the other. & yes its always a good idea to send them as much information about your relationship as possible as they are deciding based on exactly what you are proving them, maybe in certain cases its "fairly" easier to explain things than other cases but still there is a minimum standard set by CIC exactly for the reason so they can evaluate cases based on the information provided.
PS- yes we are definitely lucky and i honestly feel sorry for all those who have gone through the long ass waits in 2011-12 & 13. it must be hard on so many families & so many peoples lives must have been shaped differently than they dreamed of and hoped for just because of over 2 years wait time at least in most cases.

AGREED.

Got the passport back today, Allah ka shukar hai!

I sponsored my spouse (Wife Case).. Applied Feb 25 ,2014 .. file transfered to LVO directly on (May 06,2014) and the first medical request came on (JAN 05,2014)..

The letter says:

( These medical instructions are being issued since your application has been processed to the stage
where medical examination results are now required. Please read these instructions carefully.
IMPORTANT: You are required to undergo the medical examinations within 30 days of the date of this
letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.)

Is it normal letter for first time medical request or is it mean I can expect ppr 1 and/or ppr2 request soon???

Thanks and look forward to your feed back.. So happy to finally hear something :) :) :) . And also pray for the rest of all us that soon we all join our families. Thanks

Salaam all, i have an update from my side. My husband did his remedical on september 15, 2014. After that i recieved an email from Lvo in november that send additional forms including supplementary, repcc, background declaration, schedule A, and passport bio pages photocopies, hieght and eye color. I send all documents on november 20th. Today i did an inquiry through my MP. My MP told me that they r waiting for my husband's remedical results. LVO said my MP that if applicant has done his medical, then he send us UMI number. After that we will do further processing.

Now my question is which1 is UMI number, and where i can find it? My husband has medical receipt, but it dose not have any UMI number. My MP said me that scan dat receipt and send it to me, then i will forward to LVO. Lets see what will happen next ???

It is IME number on medical information sheet, tell your spouse to go back to doctor and ask for confirmation, once he receive you will find all the details and you can send scan copy of it to your MP.

Ohhhh Bhense......... Commmoonnn u----CIC. complete bullshit. i suggest your hubby to go IOM and ask them why don't they send medical results to LVO. and ask them UMI number etc.
