i have lots of hopes for this week.. its been almost 2 months since i sent my passport.. hopefully we all get our passports back with visa this week..
ISHALLAH INSHALLAH

Salaam all :).
My husband has been issued a re-medical in his interview letter however we didn't recieve a form for it.. I e-mailed LVO asking for it but no response for a while now.
His interview is on the 27th so we decided to go to the medical center & get it done but they won't do anything unless he has the form.
What do we do now?
What if when we go in for the interview they ask why we haven't gotten it done.

Send one more email to LVO and explain them again all the situation. They had shortage of staff because of holidays in the last two weeks of December but from january 5th every thing will be on track. So in my opinion let them know about the whole scenario and they will send you medical form.

Went to Pakistan: March 2013
Came back to Canada: December 2013
Application transferred to London:April 11, 2014 (ONLY after many many many requests to speed things up as I was pregnant and due to deliver next month)
Had my baby: May 2014 ;D
Additional docs requested: May 15, 2014 (New Schedule A/Background Declaration form, Marriage certificate, Police Clearance, Client information, Rights of Permanent Residence Fee)
Application In process: October 8, 2014 (it said they started processing at this time- which I highly doubt since they requested additional docs back in May ::))
Medical requested: October 9, 2014
Medical received: October 25th, 2014
Decision Made: January 1, 2015

It's been a long wait, but Alhamdulillah, we have gotten this far.
Will be meeting my husband next month finally after one year ;)
and he will be meeting his daughter for the first time. ;D
Please make dua for us.

My questions are:
1) The letter I was supposed to receive October 25th 2012, should I continue to ask for it or just leave it? I called the center and the lady told me it wasn't that important, so I had dropped this issue.
2) What are the next steps?
3) Do you think our applications has been approved? On Ecas we have been told: A decision has been made on [applicant]'s application. The office will contact [applicant] concerning this decision. Will they be mailing a letter? How long now? Do you see any reason why it could be rejected?

CIC is full of filthy D**che bags. Seriously I have seen and heard the worse stories but still when you see something like this it makes you wonder how helpless all the immigrants are. I really hope in my life CIC can be held questionable for what they do-make PPl wait, wait and wait. In ANY canadian family 4 years? Forget about 4 years even within 4 months of being apart there will be a divorce and they still made you guys wait for this long & expect a relationship to last. Simply inhuman.

It's true, I felt really helpless as all I was able to do was wait and occasionally email them to make sure to annoy them just enough. I, too, am very angry with all the slow service provided by CIC. But I have noticed that it is not CIC's fault entirely, as there is a significantly smaller waiting period for other countries. In fact, Pakistan has one of the longest processing times as Pakistani's have deceived and done fraud so many times. CIC is only trying to prevent further frauds, and the innocent ones have to suffer. But I do agree with you, CIC is taking much more time than is needed.

To be honest.. I don't know lol.
I was just casually checking my e-cas one day & came across that it said my husband's in for an interview.. I found out last month but i'm not sure how long it's been up..
Then waited a while to see if we recieve a letter for further information but nothing so then i e-mailed LVO requesting the letter for the interview & got it via e-mail a few days later.

Anybody who receives pp today ?

I hope Today and Tomorrow is our days to receive back our passports.

Have you contacted LVO or CHC-ISB regarding your passport?, as in the letter they sent me it said like "expect to be without your passport for 4 weeks...contact us if TCS hasn't contacted you regarding your passport."
