please answer . i am a bit confused and curious to know. You are in pakistan and your husband is in canada and he sponsored you. Right?
And your husband got a Re-medical letter from London and they posted to your husband in canada?

Shena reply as early as possible as its very interesting for me because in my notes i saw they have mentioned my address where they suppose to write my wife,s address and may be they will send a letter to me too for her re-med . Thanks shena

Asslamu Alaykum dear Forum Family,

Is contacting your mp to get access to information on your case a bad or good idea?

I've read mixed things such as it's bad because it might delay your case but then it's good cause it might pull your file out of the pile that it's been forgotten in..

Pleas answer & help.. I'm not sure what to do..

I already filed inland application to sponsor my spouse with open work permit. CIC received it on 05 Sep 2014 but no letter for acknowledgement.
My Spouse study permit going to expired by the end of September. I know that she will get the implied status.
But to be on safer side i also applied for her visitor visa once her study permit expired to be on safer side. I also wrote them that she already applied for her sponsorship.

Is this wise to do it or i already make the mistake, Because i did not hear from them till now after 5 days of online filing the application.

Any advice in this regard after all the things done should be appreciated

From what I know you did the right thing by sending an OWP application with your inland app! So she should have an implied status until the first stage approval which takes quite some time. And that's only in the case they don't return your application incase of a mistake etc. in that case she won't have an implied status. But if you get the trv in the meanwhile you don't have to worry.
God forbid if you don't get the visa ( I sincerely hope you do) and they return back you application cos of some mistake you can try to restore her status. That is possible within 90 days after the expiration of her previous status. But that's just when you don't have an other choice. Or else looks like you are safe for now :)
Best of luck!!:)

Yup..last time in Feb(from Isloo) when I got a mail in which they asked for RPRF,Additional Forms and RePCC..I got this on my mailing address in Pakistan and my husband got that same request on his mailing address in Canada..this time he also got what I got ..I think when they send us something on mail ..we both get it .

If this is the case, this would happen worldwide and not just for Pakistan. And FC threads would be gone crazy by this time. But i see no such signs. For Pakistan the only thing affecting is the prevailing political situation in the country which is slowing down the processes a little bit. I think this MP just want you to stop inquiring till this year. Lol

Go ahead and get info from your MP. It will not delay your case.

On a side note, MP's aren't helpful 99% of the time. That being said, I hope you find that 1%.

Good luck.

P.S They don't pull files and there isn't a forgotten pile....But most pakistani applicants will say our whole process is forgotten compared to other countries. (Length wise).

Hi could you describe your landing experience,
what is required to take,
any issues faced?
what specific flight did you use?
