We also had a son and need to apply for LVP. Did you guys had to provide paid ticket to get the LVP ?

Yes we did provide them paid/confirmed ticket with our complete application.
Just to make sure they won't let you have the passport without paid travel plan and they are very strict about this rule.

In order to apply for a child Canadian Limited Validity Passport

1. Application Form
2. Application Fee (I paid 9500 regular fee and 1000 Rupee bank Service charges at one the Standard Chartered Bank in Lahore and please make sure you deposit fee in the right account in Passport Consular Account)
3. Two identical Canadian Passport size (One picture should be labelled photographer's information, picture taken date and attested by a guarantor in Pakistan)
(Guaranter can be a Lawyer, Judge, Notary Public, Dentist, Police Officer and a bank Officer) who know the child parents for 2 years
4. One Pakistani guarantor passport bio page copy
5. Child original Birth Certificate
6. Paid/Confirmed travel plan ticket for child and one of the parent (Without Paid/Confirmed travel plan ticket they would send all your documents back and they are very strict about this rule)
7. One Canadian passport bio page for one the parent who is a Canadian citizen and original Citizenship card
8. One Pakistani passport bio page copy for one the parent who lives in Pakistan
9. One copy of the acknowledgment letter for your child citizenship letter
10. One copy of the second letter for your child citizenship certificate which mentions your child UCI and File No#
11. One copy of your child online ECAS Status

The whole process takes about 8 to 10 weeks

Please call Canadian Consulate and ask about the current required fee and which bank locations have the Canadian High Commission fee forms

i applied for my son's LVP on July 1st... still waiting for his passport.

Also i could not book a ticket under his name.. the travel agent said u need to have a passport to be able to book a ticket to fly. so i did a reservation although it doesn't say that it's a reservation on it.. his and his mom's on the same date for Aug 10th 2014. is this ok?

Today is July 21st no answer yet.. and i need to go back to Pakistan so i can bring them back to Canada, my wife already got her PR Visa,

My Question is.. will it make a different if i go back pakistan and go to Canadian embassy and tell them to give my son a passport ASAP? anyone who been to CHC let me know? if they dont give right away how long will it take? Worse thing every waited for so long.. my wife has her visa but now waiting for my sons...

Any suggestion? how to get LVP back faster?

I havent heard anything yet:/ applying for notes for the second time!!!!

I sponsored my husband in July 2012 n got additional documents request in January 2014 since then still waiting for remedical n passport request.is there also any other July 2012 husband case in the same situation??

the true unpredictability of cic as all the process of my file was delayed. fine that was fine i manged it now when they have asked for the passport the timeline was being 3rd day passport being returned to applicant, now my passport is with them for more then two weeks and i would like it as early as possible as i will be travelling ASAP in sha Allah

Can my hubby apply for a TRV while sponsorship is processed..I mean I want him to apply for a visit coz u never know May be a luck chance : just wondering : so guys wat you say ??? Can he??

No, not necessarily. But this was the trend now a days from LVO. DM and pp reception in a few days. It can happen the other way around, pp received and no change in ecas.

is it nessery thatvit ill change they recived mine on 7th but still shows in process and no retyrn of pp so far
