CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

Hello Everyone !

I had a question about applying for GCMS notes. I sponsored my wife (Nikah only) in September 2013.
Two weeks later I got an email from CIC saying that the file has been transferred to Islamabad.
In late Januray 2014, I got another email from CIC saying that the file has now been transferred to London.

My CIC Application status shows these 2 things:
1. Application has been received in September 2013.
2. Medical has been received.

Do you think I should request GCMS notes to see what is in my file so far ?
Does ordering GCMS have any negative effects on your file ?

I believe this is the correct place to order GCMS notes:
cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

Please correct me if I am wrong.

You should wait for a year ..becoz CIC hav'not touched your case yet,they start processing after a year so u wouldn't hear anything new in notes.

I am glad to see that none of the applicants who applied with me aren't here any more.

My whole process took 14 months for my wife when the timeline on the website clearly stated - 26 months back in 2013.

Don't complicate things. Your documents should be self explanatory enough for the officer so that he/she does not get confused.

I used to read a lot of comments users used to leave here and how they proceeded.

DO NOT APPLY FOR IMMIGRATION IF YOUR PREGNANT OR GOT PREGNANT AFTER BEING SPONSORED. IT WILL SIMPLY COMPLICATE THINGS & DELAY THE PROCESSING.

UPDATE:

today i got a call from the ministers office - they were responding to an inquire i made on our file.

our file was moved to the London office a few weeks back. background and security is what is left. the gentleman said it was transfered to speed things up.

Well my wife is happy to be in canada, she thinks vancouver, canada is a beautiful place and seems to enjoy the winter season. I have indicated to her that the summer season is going to be amazing if allah wills. i continuing to pray for all of you brothers and sisters that allah willing you all get your visa's soon inshallah, so you can be with your loved ones. I would recommend reading all of them but pay attention to the Notes on the very last page as well as the "Paper File Transfer History" this will tell you where your file currently is (Ottawa or Islamabad). I just got mine today as well...and my file was transferred to ISL in July -_-
Let us know if you have any questions..the notes can be hard to understand

In APP status reason : TFR-workload (re)-distribution
No security/medical/criminality started
It also mentions that MP made an inquiry on my behalf.

Man I have no idea what these guys are doing! I haven't ordered my notes recently, but have the same timeline (May 2012) as you with absolutely no correspondence since the initial submission. I am guessing my file is probably transferred to London too like others on the forum.

April 2012 . But my file got apparently lost by Canada Post so I prepared another file and sent again in May 2012. Later both files were received by IMM . File was approved in July and sent to Ottawa.

similar time, and i found out today that our file was transfered to London in Feb 2014. security/criminality is whats left. hope london processing is quick.
