I just took a quick look through New Delhi thread.... there r many ppl on there who are still waiting for their passports back with visa (ND sends PPR near the beginning of the process).... I see a lot of cases from Oct/Nov 2012 that are still waiting.....

I just wanted to point this out cuz many of us on here seem to have this misconception that Canadian govt favours India over Pak (typical mentality of most pakis).... We need to stop comparing ourselves to others!.... has anyone noticed the timelines for US.... they're longer than a year (26 for LA, 22 for NY)... Tel-Aviv (Can govt is seen to favour Israel) is at 10 months!.... even some African countries have long timelines... so its not only limited to Pak n other muslim countries.... CIC is having problems all across the board!... Marriage fraud is not only limited to Pak n India n China... its a bigger problem from other countries such as Cuba n Mexico... even Europe there have been many marriage fraud cases... there have been many stories in newspapers bout marriage fraud from countries NOT including India or Pak

Bottom line is CIC is having problems all across the board n there needs to be an investigation about wuts going on there!

I agree that CIC is having problems all across the board and may be it is the most inefficient government department currently with backlogs and delays in almost every type of application. Having said that , there has not been such a dramatic increase in processing time (from 6-9 months in 2008 to 32 months in 2013) anywhere else. If we go by the posted processing times, 80% cases in India were finalised in 12 months so the exceptions noted on this forum must be the ones from the remaining 20% only. USA processing time does not matter much in my view when US citizens can easily go back and forth without even the need for a visitor visa. Singapore office which deals with 11 countries is currently 2nd with 28 months but the delay in that office is obviously due to the huge number of applications

Yes, the overall sponsorship process has hit a snag but it is also true that sponsorship applications for pakistani spouses are either being delayed intentionally or CIC does not care about inquiring in detail why the hell we are made to wait for such a long period.

MPs have restricted authorities, they cannot (based on my understanding) expedite a specific application but they are certainly capable of raising concerns about this cruel timelines for CHC ISB applicants provided there is a collective push by the applicants themselves.

May Allah help us in this matter

I can see there are plenty of ppl on here that are becoming frustrated.... I think we can all agree that the CIC is not going to help.... ditto for the MPs...

The only option I see is to go to the media.... i'm sure most of us on here must know of journalists.... we might even have journalists on this forum...... we need to make such a big deal of this issue that it gets on the front pages on every newspaper in Canada.... thats the only way this govt will do n e thing.... I urge us all to send emails to all local TV channels.... they're always looking for story ideas.... Let the media conduct an investigation about wuts happening at CHC-ISL n why there have been so many delays

For Spouse sponsorship case , Is the B Form sufficient for date of Birth confirmation ? as the Applicant does not have a Birth Certificate made at the time of birth

That's ridiculous and back them processing time was half of what is currently is and now their are less applicants and processing times have doubled.

Good point to provide to Media :)

salam all.... i still see some old users here.... hubby chubby, waiting 110, etc... my case hasn't budged at all either....

in all honesty we all have to take a step and make a move of some sort and protest this bullshit behaviour and inhumane processing times.... its been three years and counting since my marriage date, and they havent even started any background or criminality checks for my wife... i even tried for visit visa which they also refused.... for the love of God, we people need to stop taking this inhumane process and speak up and be heard.... if we don't do nothing about it, no one will care about it either, and why should they if we wont voice up.... i am available by private message...

what really doesn't help is that our people are so emotionless to others, and don't step out... once their case is over, they forget about all the sufferings of others...

and also the fact that we have no representatives of our community in the parliament, unless like Indians, who have plenty of MPs etc who do push for their cases but don't do jack shit for us...
