There isn't much you can do really. Some cases get processed faster (just because they are lucky).

Cic won't help much, they just look at the timeline and throw out the genuine response that "islamabad has a 32 months processing time"

If you like, you can go ahead and order gmcs notes online. (best option)

Hi All,

It appears for people who applied in July 2012, their application is more or less being finalized now. I applied for my wife's application in July 2012 as well and haven't heard anything from CPC Ottawa/ISB. Can anyone here suggest if I should get in touch with CIC?

Timeline is as follows:

July 2012: Application received by CPC-Mississauga
Oct 2012: Request for sponsorship approved. Application transfer to CPC Ottawa/ISB.
September 2013: Original documents (educational and nikah certificate) sent back to us (saying that they've made copies and don't need the originals any more)

Other than Sept. 2013 communication, we have NOT heard form CIC at all. Kindly advise.

Thank you,
SA

Thanks Hubby Chubby,

Btw, How does CIC communicate remed request? Do they mail or email the sponsor/person sponsored? I've hired a lawyer. Would they contact him?

Thanks,
SA

If the applicant has provided chc with his/her email. They will send a email to him/her directly.

If no email is provided, they will send remed via pakistan post to applicant pakistani address.

Once they send original documents back is there an average time as to when they will send a re med request?

Good question Illumination7, I don't have the answer to this as I am still awaiting.

Can someone else please shed light on this?

Thanks!

Asslamualikum,

Wondering if anyone's ECAS changed.

When I checked last week it didn't state my husband's name.

NEW-

1. We received NAME OF MY HUSBAND GOES HERE application for permanent residence on September 27, 2012

OLD-

1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 27, 2012"

Please advise soon!

ASyed :)

Same here. I guess its nothing major.

Them sending back your original documents is not correlated with getting remed in any way so pointless to hope for remed after getting your original documents back.

As Hubby Chubby alluded to above, it is entirely your luck when you will get your remed or any other steps completed for that matter and the only thing you can do which is in your hands is to order the notes.
