Hi everyone,

Did anyone apply for spouse sponsorship being a student at a university/college and having only a part-time job? If this is my case, can I apply for my spouse and get her accepted to get a PR?

There is a member here named "waiting110", I think I read somewhere here that she is a student with a part time job and still applied for her husband. Waiting110, if you are seeing this post, can you please reply? It's very important!

Others may also reply regarding my case. Please, it's really important.

Asslamualikum yellow123,

Yes you can apply for your spouse. As long as you can support them after they arrive in Canada and your currently and in the future are not going to be taking Welfare (Ontario Works).

Also please refer to the following website https://sites.google.com/site/islamabadchctimelines/

Q- If I am a homemaker or have no job, am I still eligible to sponsor my husband/wife?
Yes you can as there is no income requirement for Spouse sponsorship but you will have to provide for the spouse and support them for 3 years as per your sponsorship agreement so you should be able to do that.

ASyed :)

I received my Step-1 approval 10 months ago... :(

I think you confused my question with the step-1 approval from Mississauga. I already received that in February 2013.
I'm talking about Step-2.

asslamualikum kingkhan787,

sorry that was a confusion on my part... thanks for clearing it up

ASyed :)

what does this means ? does it means they will complete 80% cases from October 1, 2012 to Sept. 2013? i mean in 11 months ?? strange huh!

The tables below indicate application processing times at Canadian visa offices once Step 1 has been completed. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013. Processing times are subject to change.

I need to know if someone here can help?
I need to know if a Canadian Citizen can make an appointment with CIC Islamabad Pakistan for my own personal information. I need to speak with someone there. Has or does anyone know if I can make an appointment with them since I'm a Canadian Citizen visiting my husband in Pakistan?
Canadian Citizen do not need any appointment. They can go to Canadian Embassy, Islamabad just by showing their Canadian PP. However, let me warm you in advance that in Canadian Embassy you are not going to see any one else other than Pakistani Nationals Staff and Immigration Section works Only 4 Days (Monday - Thursday).
