Can you shed more light on this topic of new pr restrictions?

Effective October 25, 2012, sponsored spouses or partners must now live together in a legitimate relationship with their sponsor for two years from the day they receive permanent residence status in Canada.

If you are a spouse or partner being sponsored to come to Canada, this applies to you if:

-You are being sponsored by a permanent resident or Canadian citizen
-You have been in a relationship for two years or less with your sponsor
-You have no children in common
-Your application was received on or after October 25, 2012

Trying to think of how CHC will reduce its timeline according to this rule.

secondly, it would take a pakistani spouse approx 4 years to get pr form conditional pr. (approx 2 yr visa wait+ 2 yr conditional pr)

Marriage Fraud: New Consequences

Were you sponsored to come to Canada as a spouse or partner on or after October 25, 2012? If so, you must now live with your sponsor in a genuine relationship for two years from the day you get permanent residence status in Canada. This is a new rule.

LOL. Pakistanis are already time tested, after 32 months...

If the relationship ends within two years, the sponsor would have no obligation as per the under taking... thats in favour of the sponsor...nothing wrong with that...

It is just a view as the conditional PR is itself a deterrent against frauds so the process may become less microscopic and time consuming. it may still be just a wishful thinking..

Logically they should waive the 2 year requirement for those cases(after oct 25,2012) which god forbid may take more than 2 years

Other than that this restriction will definitely help in tackling fraud cases and will be due compensation for the victims who have to suffer this humiliation

Brother they will send it to your wife's address than. The method/address they used for re-medical, thy will use the same method for ppr. Just to be on the safer side call the call centre.
Don't worry about it inshaAllah it will be fine. They had my husband's wrong passport number. It was completely different from what it should have been. When my husband went for re-medical that's what they told him. My husband asked them to correct and they did it.i did not call the call centre and neither did my husband. Allhumdulilah it was fine.
Just call t the call centre.
