A tip for members who will be sending forms requested with remed. (sometimes CHC asks for re-pcc and renewed IMM forms).

What we did was we sent it via tcs and told them to get is signed. This way it is tracked and it is made sure that someone receives it by signature.

In my case, it was some dude by the name of Danish who received it. (gives you a sense of security)

A friend of mine was a nikkah case from Montreal. He applied in june 2011. Wife was here in 20 months exact. (Never visited his wife nor sent any add docs)

Any Nikah Only cases here, that received approvals??

Just going to submit my application soon. I am also a nikah only case..

very nervous. :(

Salam,

I believe i asked this questions before, and the answer was Approx 4-6 weeks. However maybe these days its longer... i think alot of remed's only have been sent forth, but no PPR yet.

Nothing is really consistent with CHC islamabad, well maybe inconsistency.

I have a question, does having a military background causes any problem longer background checks etc? I hear different things from different people, and just stresses me out.

Hey good luck! My friend filed after Nikah in August 2011. Was asked for additional forms and rukhsati details in June 2012. They scheduled rukhsati in Jan 2013 and sent rukhsati and honeymoon pictures after that. She got visa in June 2013. The entire process took 22 months for her.

How come they ask for further details? A Nikah is an islamic marriage... Don't they know that if a rukhsati is done, it would be harder for the two to stay apart? They want us to prove our relationship, which we do. Then they put a almost 3 year distance which is unfair. Then they make people go back and do a rukhsuti....if they want to do that, then why not send them a cheque for the plane ticket? ;D

No. Don't think so.

IMO, cpp-o doesn't want to hold on too originals. There is no need for it. They just follow the protocol and once they recieve the doc they copy it and send it back. I dont think there is a direct relation with file transfer to isb and return of originals to applicant.

My husband and I have not received any originals back though we received AOR in Feb 2012. Is this normal or does everyone receive the original documents and we are the exception? My husband called the call center to ask if any further mail was forwarded to his address that was misplaced by chance and the agent said no mail was sent.

I'm also a feb 2012 applicant. I received my originals mid august 2013. I don't think they lost your docs. It's probably they didn't mail yet to you. There is no sense of order i believe. They just send it to whomever they wish.

LOL I just shared a friend's experience to give you an idea. What the CHC asks for and why is best known to them.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I hope I get some positive response from them soon. Its terrible that they have no consistency in their processes....everyone has a different scenario even while sharing a similar timeline.
