So I finally have some good news to report. My wife received a remed request email today. No PPR though, so I'm a bit confused... anyone think this is strange to not receive ppr with remed?

Dont be confused. It seems normal because a lot of applicants (including me) have experienced this. My wife got her re-med done on July 4th, 2013. And no passport request (PPR) yet.

my wife also got re-med request through email on Friday August 23. additional docs were requested June 1 2013.

will ask her if she recieved any postal mail inquiring about passport as her mailing address was updated to PK mailing on ecase.

I have only received a re-med email beginning of August 2013.
Nothing in the mail..or anything else after that. Is that something i should be concerned about?

Regarding the strike, unfortunately the decision making officers are all on strike. The Pakistani employees that collect all the data etc are only working.
Only essential service is provided. Ya Allah its bad enough already ...how much worse can it get..

I read somewhere that the (The labor board is debating whether to assign an arbitrator to this case, if that happens the foreign office workers will go back to work as a good will gesture even during the arbitration period).

My area MP told me...I don't how reliable that is.

Anyways i think as you can see that no passport has been returned with visa stamped for the last 2-3 months...which sort of explains this.

Medical Exam in Lahore

My wife went to the medical center in Lahore. They told her they can only do medical exam if they receive direction from ISLAMABAD.

When they try calling islamabad nobody picks up the phone.

Does anyone know what the procedure is to get a medical exam done in LAhore?
