Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum but it seems like this is the only place where i can get some answers from!

My husband, a Canadian citizen residing in Montreal since the past 13 years, sponsored me.
CIC received my application for Permanent Residence on December 21, 2011.
My husband received his Federal Approval Letter on February 18, 2012 and my CSQ on February 28, 2012.
After this there has been no progress made on my case!! No updates on e-cas and no form of communication from their end.
My file was sent complete with all my forms, educational documents, medical, police certificate, phone records, emails and photographs of the nikah ceremony.
We applied for a Visit visa in november before the rukhsati(which took place in february 2013) but it was rejected!

Can somebody plz guide me as to how long further we have to wait! My husband is there and I have been waiting here since forever!! I thought it took a shorter time to process applications in Quebec. :(

Assalam Alaikum everyone,

Can anyone please tell me the exact address of Ottawa Pilot where we can send additional documents.

Please reply soon.

Regards.

same here, dont worry you are not alone. files of Dec 2011 & Jan 2012 applicants were sent to Ottawa rather than Islamabad. they didn't do any thing for more than 1 year. i ordered GCMS notes in may 2013 and than i know my file was finally transferred to Islamabad in may 2013 but nothing has been done on it. i hope they will start processing our files in a couple of months InshaaAllah. lets hope for the best

Can we Afghans convince CIC to process Afghan National applications in India? If you agree let ask CIC to make change at lest it will be helpful for future applicants, for us is too late now.

If CIC transfer all the afghan's visa applications from Islamabad to Kabul or Delhi, that would be a wise action, it well definitely and positively help all Pakistanis and Afghans to get there visa quicker, and it well make the process faster. I wonder why they don't take an action.

So I am confused, even though they have my passport, you think they will ask me for RPRF again?

Yes I have paid that when my wife applied for me in Canada,

I was born and raised in montreal quebec. It is a myth that applications going through quebec are processed faster. That is false. I also have applied for my wife and I haven't either heard anything either. Im a canadian citizen by birth. Its all luck, there is nothing that can be done. Its all in Allah hands.

For Afghan nationals, Canada doesn't have a legit embassy in Afghanistan. For whatever reasons that they may have. Thus, they have to go through islamabad. Islamabad however, has it's own problems, whereby they don't have a medical processing unit for Canada. Thereby, they have to rely on India. That is why our medicals have to go through new dehli. If for example, Afghans would like to get their process done via new dehli. New dehli will reject automatically. The reason being, it will increase timeline for india. Plus they will say that they already have bangladesh and they don't want afghans in the fold also. Which i think is a legit reason. Best bet for afghans is to convince canada to open an embassy for cic in kabul. End of story nothing will change were all stuck.
