Ramadan Mubarak to all my brothers and sisters from Pakistan to Canada to Afghanistan.
I updated my wife's address in Pakistan and about a month later got an email from CHC-I that my wife needs to fax a written request to change of address since sensitive documents are mailed back to that address, so it's understandable.

In fixing this address issue, I got to find out that my file was sent from Ottawa to Islamabad on June 9,2013. Almost a year after I got AOR.

I completed my file to best if my knowledge and sent all the documents required EXCEPT Police certificate for background check because she wasn't 18 at the time of application. She has since turned 18. My question to respected forum members is that should I send in a police certificate voluntarily or wait till they ask?

I've this ongoing dilemma about this issue because firstly I didn't send it thinking to wait but now I'm starting to wonder how will they finish background check without it?

Salam and Eid Mubarak to you and your spouse, Yes of course you need the Police Certificate as its needed for the Background check and its better to get it ASAP. They do a background check in Canada as well as Pakistan so its better to get it done. Any update you send send it by fax as you get a confirmation # right away. They can never say they didn't receive as you have that number. Its wise to keep a hard copy for your records as they seem lately to be loosing to many papers. I told this to my MP's secretary and they are shocked.

Another thing is this I want to let you's know about. When I applied for an extension the Ministry of Interior asked me:

How come Canada gives our people such a hard time for a visa for a tourist or spouses.

I said very good question start giving those countries a hard time to enter then they may change their opinion as they think we all can come and go as we please.

I told him but you won't cause our Country Canada is the second largest Donor of food to Pakistan after USA, and we don't have drones so better to do something else.
He said your very wise I said no its common sense

So get the Police Certificate it may speed your case ok In Sha Allah

Sorry for late reply i just checked the messages.
Ok when your wife went to the passport office they must give her a number you have to take it with you and tell the consulate office that you are here to sign the consent form for your son so he can get the passport and tell then the issued number. They will give you a form to fill i think you are also required to provide the NIC for identification. Then they will email that form here in passport office. Then after few days your son's passport will be mailed at their mailing address. Hope this information will help

I just wanted to let you all know that my wife received her visa in Karachi today. I filed our application in August 2011, and it was received in Islamabad in September of 2011. It then sat there until July 2012, when she received a letter asking for a second medical examination and a police certificate, as well as additional forms regarding her travel history and family, and the usual stuff about whether or not she has ever plotted to violently overthrow any governments (if you knew my wife, you'd find that hilarious).

Those then sat there until June 2013 (last month), when she received a request for her passport and another request for a police certificate.

So from August 2011 to August 2013, the entire process has taken us 24 months (although it's not really over until she lands here and gets her PR card). That's unacceptably long, but for all of you out there still waiting, I say:

DON'T GIVE UP!

Guyz, how long is it taking these days to get the GCMS notes back considering that PAFSO is on strike? Anyone ordered the notes after the strike?

when u wake up in morning walk with empty stomoch dont take any thing not even water ,,walk for 30 to 40 min and walk fast dont run just fast walk,,my mom did it and she took her chelostrol level back with 6 week
