My timeline - wife case

Applied - Jan/2012
File Transfer to ISL - Apr/2012

Nothing since then not even re-med request

Just waiting and waiting...

havent got any updates since the add doc request... i should have applied for visitor visa for my wife, got excited about nothing and let it slide, and just waiting now...

just want to confirm, do i need to have my wife write me a letter to allow me to request information on her behalf for the gcms notes...

i think when our files are sent to isl... they are put in batches and assigned to different VO and their respective crews... it then depends on how fast/slow the certain crew works, and same goes for the VO... also, another big problem is that for the security background checks, they send our pcc copies to the respective area police stations/head offices etc, to confirm the validity of them, and if those ppl are lazy and let it sit there and rot, then even the chc-isl is at their mercy... and similar for any other third party verifications... thats what happens when they ask us for ppr and sometimes we dont hear back for 3-4 months....

my wifes med expired in january 2013. they asked us to redo police certificate and other documents June 1 2013. no request for remed yet.. all was submitted a few weeks ago. waiting now..

Watiting eyes? is there any formate of letter for application to change email ? i m bit confused what to exactly wright in it .. Do i need to write that on word and than attach? or directly write an email in text box?

Ramadan Mubarak to all my brothers and sisters from Pakistan to Canada to Afghanistan.
I updated my wife's address in Pakistan and about a month later got an email from CHC-I that my wife needs to fax a written request to change of address since sensitive documents are mailed back to that address, so it's understandable.

In fixing this address issue, I got to find out that my file was sent from Ottawa to Islamabad on June 9,2013. Almost a year after I got AOR.

I completed my file to best if my knowledge and sent all the documents required EXCEPT Police certificate for background check because she wasn't 18 at the time of application. She has since turned 18. My question to respected forum members is that should I send in a police certificate voluntarily or wait till they ask?

I've this ongoing dilemma about this issue because firstly I didn't send it thinking to wait but now I'm starting to wonder how will they finish background check without it?

Salam all, My MP"S secretary in Ottawa just got off the phone with me and she said the MP sent a letter to Mr. Jason Kenny to see what the heck is going on 34 months, in September God Forbid it will be 3 years I hope not In Sha Allah.

Like what CIC Islamabad is doing to some of is unreal and I told all of you, your spouses can do more in Canada as a Canadian Citizen.

So keep on their toes and order your notes as each time they MP's Inquire on your behalf its written down in CAIPS NOTES. So order them at least once a month if you can In Sha Allah

try to find an address in Kabul special MAKROYAN area where it has Block Number and Apartment number and it is pretty easy for postman to find and deliver any mail from CHC islamabad and be sure to send them the correct email address so they can contact you via email as well, no if she lives in Kabul then MISSISSAUGA office will automatically choose Islamabad as processing office unless she is living in India and have been living for the past one year or more and have valid one year or more visa of india, and you have to include the proof of residency of india for her in the application!

Thanks Waiting_Eyes, I don't know if there she can find address in Makroyan, do you know if Afghanistan has P.O.Box service would that be ok? What if she give my wife address in Peshawar? Its easy to send her letter from there to Kabul as so many people goes daily. Would CIC accept that or she should explain that this is a corresponding address because the address issue in Afghanistan?
