Ok guys,

So about 3 months ago my father in law in Pakistan got promoted and transferred to Islamabad. I called CIC and then with their advice contacted Ottawa about change of address. They asked me to email and then they confirmed the change of address and the new address got updated on E-CAS. NOWWWWWWWWW IM THINKING EVERYTHING IS FINE - RIGHT ?

Today I got an email from CHC-Islo that my wife needs to send a written request with her signature and be faxed to CHC-Islamabad's number ?? Coz the TCS delivery went to old address and got returned.

Its confusing for sure. But anyways, doing as CHC-Islamabad says and sending fax first thing tomorrow.

But why would Ottawa acknowledge changing my address and Islamabad won't accept it?

:'( :-\ :-X

we all know how CIC work and coordinate do fax as soon as u can because good thing is that CIc sent something to ur wife through tcs which i hope remedican and ppr best of luck

Alhamdullilah Finally the update i had been waiting for, just got the ReMedical Request through Email.

Looks like the response time for Ottawa is 12 months, i got soo disappointed seeing no response but finally here it is. No other documents requested. :)
Hey congrats :) i have same timeline as yours, but i didnt gt anythin yet :( or my representative is too lazy to check her emails, i dnt trust her... by the way did your online status change to in process?

I got my notes back today. Nothing really has been started yet. (Background or security checks). I know my file is in Ottawa and was opened in Jan 2013 for progress. However, what I did find in the notes that was interesting was that all of my security checks, background checks and eligibility decisions had due date written. Which were of end of May and some mid June of 2013. Let's see what happens. Im an early 2012 applicant...

how long did it take to get your gmc notes? are you sponsoring your wife or is your wife sponsoring you?

then they should stop giving immigration to single males! i know canada is multicultural but people still marry within their own racial and ethnic groups. whites marry whites, blacks marry blacks, phillipinos marry philipinos, sikhs marry sikhs etc..we have no choice but to go back home to pakistan and marry...the choices are limited in canada...

i dont think so...

immigration is not a birth right.... its an option... they are not obligated to give your spouse a PR card or citizenship... so you can't... best thing to do is play the patience game and learn to live with it... unfortunately we have to...

writing this out in general... my self included i used to come out here and ranting and itching about how slow this process is etc etc... instead be creative, find a way to further your marriage with your partner, find a way to live with them without being next to them... if you want to look at it from a diff. prospective, i believe its a hidden blessing to be away from spouses but being with them mentally or through phone/web etc... as this distance will solidify the bonding between the two... usually marriages get into rough patches within the first year or so... this way you would have lots to find out about ur partner, learn to go through rough patches together (which can take ages at times)... have to be positive in the midst of all these immigration negatives...

(sorry if my post offended anyone, esp from 2010 cases, i feel for you... technically i am one of you lots, as i was married in '10 as well)...
