How did you get his file # starting with B?

When they actually start working on your case, they send you a new file# starting with B

my husband is a Canadian citizen, he applied for my case in February 2013, I got my file back in 2 weeks asking for some missing forms then we re sent my application after abt 1 and a half month I got my file back again, asking for medical report n some forms n they have given me a specific time to send my application back that is by the end of may.

files that start with B are for their old system. they no longer provide this #. new files start with F.

(i too have application #s starting with both F & B.)

Your husband should seek some (paid) help from a consultant or follow the IMM5443 checklist. Make sure you include all the documents/forms in you application.

IMM5443 and all other required forms can be found here:

thats what i heard. B is got nothing to do with "when they actually work on your file..."

12 months / 371 days completed....got one AOR letter and nothing else from CHC..... :( :( :(

Hey all :)
Ok ive heard that once quebec selection certificate is issued, its takes max six months for the application to be approved..is it true? N did anyone get a ppr after one year since their file was received by cic..not transferred to isl..

That is false, my CSQ was issued in June of 2012. Been 10 months nothing approved as of yet. CSQ has nothing to do with approval of application. However, you do need CSQ to get your file approved. It will not make your process speed up at all.
