Hey guys me and my brother both sponsored our wives in June and July in 2012.. at begging on CIC website for both our status was "Decision made".. but, now mine changed to "in process" while his is the same "decision made". So what is going on here? should i be worried or should he? or we both good?

Congrats brother m happy for you .. It's a good news and a hope for the rest too.

Well yesterday I received my notes . I am surprised to see how organized they are , they have entered each and every detail .. From day first to date... It has 37 pages and was really hard to read and understand.
Anyways cut the story short what I understood my file was first in Mississauga then Ottawa and on November 2012 it got transferred to islamabad. Which is a good sign. 2nd all the stuff (criminality, eligibility, security) has not started yet but their due date is July 2013, coz whatever the previous notes had due date, They completed that assignment within that date. But I have kind of sympathies for them coz the job they do and the work load they have is not easy at all.. Specially after looking at my notes..

So my notes and Basil's call is a big sign of hope .. INSHALLAH early 2012 will get their remed+ppr b4 may 2013. INSHALLAH
Hi, I am new to this forum but reading it since couple of months. It looks like we are on same boat I sponsored my spouse in early January 2012 and received approval letter in mid of February 2012. Last month i called cic and spoke to an agent he said my file is in ottawa even though the letter I received in mid february was from Mississauga saying file file was approved and transferred to islamabad but next day I call to verify with another agent name Abdul Aziz I asked him about my file which was transferred to isb in feb 2012 but he said no my file was actually transferred to ottawa in the end of April 2012 and I should wait till the end of the april 2013 to hear something from ottawa. Should I order gcms notes like you did you get something new through gcms notes?

I am not anyone to pass any fatwas, first of all yes you were rude so yes you should be sorry. Go and read the explanation of Surah Naas and Surah Falaq. They have a total of 11 ayats, which were read to undo the 11 knots in Prophet Muhammad SAWW's blessed hair, and then received a wahi to recite the ayats to undo the effects of black magic. I am not blindly following anything neither do I believe my elders are 100% right. I have no needs of falsely misguiding anyone. With that being said, this is my last post here on this forum because I am shocked on how people can humiliate others. To all my family here, best of luck everyone inshaAllah I hope Allah SWT reunites you all with your spouses soon. JazakAllah for all the help you lot have given me.

U got to be kiddinggg me! Come back!! There was a difference in opnion...u follow ur way n Mehr will follow hers...n m sure Mrs Sam will apperciate ur good intention Jerry :) come backkk!
And guys reciting Allah (SWT) given Ayaats can never bring harm onto u..so no harm in reciting it....though i agree wid Jerry..but nehow even if u read surahs widout any specific intention it will just ease u up..

Please share the first place where you would take your spouse when they land in Canada. What is your first choice of place of vacation/leisure in Canada?

I don't know if it would be the first, however, I'm planning to do a trip from Montreal to Vancouver (via air). Then rent a car from Vancouver and drive down the western states (Seattle, Portland, San Franciso, Sacramento, San jose). I heard it is a beautiful ride, In sha Allah rest is up to Allah.

Nice.....how many days have you alloted for the ride?

I heard if you plan a trip for 20 days. Its more than enough. Cost at about 5 thousand dollors for the couple.

I visited my husband 3 times in one year right after I got married. Each vist was 2 to 3 weeks. But now I am planning to go after a year because it will kill me to have to leave him back at the airport. I am hoping to go mid September and come back mid November to Canada. Sometimes I dream that my husbad will get his COPR while I am there. Allah (SWT) is great, I hope he blesses us all with fast immigration for our spouses.... plz Allah.....Insha'Allah!!
