Its on a case to case basis - based on his medical condition and if it meets excessive demand threshhold. Here is the link for your information: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2008/ob063.asp. You should know your application may take a longer time to process - positive if CIC accepts his condition not being a burden to society and if not, your application may be refused due to his inadmissibility. On the positive side, I heard of people with Hep B being granted PR status.

Go to some threads and check back for similar postings to see if someone has been rejected.

my lawyer submitted my file to immigration on the 2nd week of March..FINALLY!...so I should be hearing back from them in June right?

Okay so that means your file is probably going to be transferred or something..
whenever you see "in process" under application received it means your wife will either get re-medical, or ppr+re-medical
don't worry you have long way to go just wait until 16 months INshallah you and your brother will hear something

I am going to send additional proofs i need help to write a letter what should i write down when i submit my wife sponsorship i did mention in the form that its a nikkah case ruksati will be held in jan 2013 now rukhsati and valima completed please guide me how to write letter to send to islamabad i have arranged all pics for valima rukhsati and other occasions also my ticket ,boarding pass copy call logs record skype chat logs .

Sent it to chc islamabad on 8th jan 2013,
Application status , application reccied then medical result has been recieved

depending on ur luck they might ask for ppr ... But most likely the will ask for addition documents or Re-med which will be at least 16 months starting from Jan 2013. Don't worry Inshallah u will get ur visa before end of 2013. Also apply for TRV this will make ur time pass easier...

Should be earlier, stage 1 getting approved around a month, a month and half. (so late April-early May). InshAllah.

Hi any one knows what is the best time to order gcms notes. I applied in January 2012 no news yet.
I am wondering if gcms notes only for those who submitted application using new generic bare code forms as I submitted the old forms. Does it effect would I get gcms notes according to old forms I submitted.

Hi, I sponsored my spouse in early January 2012 and received approval letter in mid of February 2012. Last month i called cic and spoke to an agent he said my file was transferred to Ottawa in february even though the letter I received in mid february was from Mississauga saying file was approved and transferred to islamabad but next day I call to verify with another agent name Abdul Aziz I asked him about my file which was transferred to isb in feb 2012 but he said no my file was actually transferred to ottawa at the end of April 2012 and I should wait till the end of the april 2013 to hear something from ottawa. Is that normal ther are keeping files for couple of months even after approval of application and sending it to ottawa. Anyone knows???

again the ottawa files are a bit new, and they say that they are being done electronic scanning only, so the following might not apply to them, but here is what i've read in some GCMS notes,

the electronic file was transferred and queued with islamabad a few days after the transfer date stated on ecas. entries in gcms for those dates in between showed that it was kept for data entry, and then it said paper file transfered. however, the next entry was from islamabad showing paper file received which was 60 days later!!! since the initial review only happens about 1 year afterwards, it didn't change much since the paper file was already receved before the applicant's file came up for initial review. but that delay in the GCMS notes did surprise me.

maybe that is why the ottawa files are only going via scanned emails, but i dont see how that would have made this specific timeline any shorter.
