also remember that each case is different, so use these posted timelines with a grain of salt, your personal case may be faster or slower based on your own circumstances (first or second marriage, kids involved, divorces, nikah only, etc.) and what you have included in your application (documents, proofs, gaps in timeilnes for education or residences, etc.)

Our case is straight forward.... Provided them each and every detail and numerous proofs :(

I filed my case in nov 2011 ... got AOR in jan 2012... no response after that n after inquiring from the call centre I got to know that its in Ottawa so when should we expect a reply? some of the cases I knw of got their reply in feb and now they r in Canada (applied in Oct 2011)

to be honest, i'm not too sure how this ottawa pilot is supposed to help process faster since part of it is still done in islamabad, and they send scanned copies of the docs to islamabad. if only the final decision is done in ottawa, then i would think that there are two timelines at play (one for those in isl, and one for those at the ott-pilot) but based on multiple postings by people on this forum it seems that ottawa is also following the islamabad timeline and keeping it as fifo for the initial review queue.

if the single timeline theory is true, then the timelines for islamabad should drop dramatically over the next year. since that would mean that once they finish their current islamabad cases, then they can finish those send from ottawa for final review and so the timeline should drop since for these second batch of cases the processing was already done by ottawa.

either way, Qback, you are approcahing the 14 month mark (after jan 2012) so you should be hearing from them soon. i would expect a re-med, followed shortly by PPR (if not together) and then your PP+visa. remember that if your PPR comes at the same time as your re-med, don't expect your PP to be returned within the same timelines as those who got their PPR months after their re-med. they will only issue it once they got the results of your remed from new delhi (that is the regional medical office). in some cases they ask for remed and PPR together, so your timeline to get your PP back is longer then if they did remed only, then a few months later PPR followed by PP in a few days to a week.

Hi,

I have sponsored my wife in April 2012 and my file was transferred to Islamabad in July 2012. My file status says "Application Received" and there has been no contact from CHC. I submitted everything including pics and all the details of proof. Can anyone tell me how long it is taking these days?

CPP-O/CHC are working on oct 2011 files currently and will start nov 2011 soon in sha Allah.

I'd like to know howcome his file wasnt transferred to Ottawa.. or if it was then someone was right earlier that it isn't FIFO...they are transferring the files whenever they want to.. to ISB? The games CHC plays with our minds..I'll never be able to understand! Either way all we can do is sit back and pray to Allah SWT.

any one of you can send the documents, doesn't matter.
you will need to submit further proof of continued communication with your spouse, snap shots of emails and facebook chat, skype logs, telephone records. plus you will also need to send them load of pics of your wedding, all the function mehndi mayun shaadi valima, dawats with friends and family, if u guys went on a honeymoon , plane tickets from the trip, hotel receipts. my husband wrote a cover letter too, giving a brief summary of your case. your return ticket n boarding pass from when u landed back in canada. we submitted our nikah nama again n copies of my husbands bank accounts and pay slips too. inshort sane anything and everything that could be helpful, dont over do it, just be on the safe side. you never know what could work.
p.s label all the pics on the back. write when n where was the pic taken with whom n mention the even e.g mr and mrs so n so with family on their barat.

This Video For All Husbands and Wife's Especially For Poor Husband Like Me :(

The comments on the women are so so true.

A Happy woman is a myth!

"People say: Behind every successful man, there is a woman.
But no one says that, behind every unsuccessful man, there is ALSO a woman."

"The amount of unsuccessful men is more than the quantity of successful man!"
you can't discuss anything with a woman.... because they call it a discussion... but any discussion with a woman is an argument

and lots more!

Guys, this 5-minute video will tell everything in your mind!

Well,I am agree with this Video I am sure everyone has pass this kind of situation in life if they have loved someone ever and all boys loose their freedom after getting married that's true as well.

Warning!!! Girls please watch it at your own risk and don't take it too personally and take in the good humor! No need to be left offended.

Interesting, that would be 13 months since application. A rare and lucky person indeed. Us here at the forum are still stuck, no news...
