AsalamOElaikum,

i hope everyone is doing good. I am saddened to see so many of us on the same train. I applied for my wife and received the confirmation letter in July 2012. I don't know where my file is right now, haven't recieved any updates yet. I applied from mississauga. By far this time has been pretty hard both on me and my wife. We fought our marriage and now this, but I guess this is life, you can't complain. Allah ka shuker hay!!!

Is approval letter different than confirmation letter where they give us a UCI number?

I tried a TRV once but got rejected, but I have learnt what I was missing. I will try again as I am used to of fighting for my rights lol ;D... remember me in your prayers.

Salaam..I'm filing my trv application..can u tell me wat was missing in Ur case?

Hi all,

This is my first post. I applied in January 2013 and got the acknowledgement letter after a couple of weeks.

I also called the call centre to ask why the E-CAS is not working and the lady informed that it is due to update/technical difficulties ...

With respect to the Ottawa Pilot Case, almost every file is being sent to Ottawa irrespective if the acknowledgement letter specifies Islamabad or Ottawa; this is to help Islamabad reduce its backlog which is reflected by the 28 month period (was 26 months a week ago). My letter said its gone to Islamabad but call centre confirmed its in Ottawa. The call centre lady said that they will only transfer the file to Islamabad for Passport request and to return original documents. Someone mentioned earlier that the file may also be transferred for 'additional documents'. May be so ...

Its good news for us since Ottawa has 13 months and if your file is "officially" tranferred to Islamabad even better news because you are active with them in correspondance.

I have observed that folks who are applying/sending the documents to CPC - Mississauga get acknowledgment letters "at random" ... from earlier posts someone had to wait 3.5 months but myself just 2 weeks; application is same: sponsorship. The time period on CIC may be true but I personally take it as grain of salt because all depends on the discretion of the clerks, and visa officer.

Just curious, how can I get those 'status' on my profile? Like applied, file transferred, AOR received, PPT request, landed, etc.?

Mine was transfered in Jan 2012, so should i contact Ottawa to remind them??? its driving me crazy since the timings for ottawa is 12 months...

You should email them stating that the processing time for Ottawa when the file was transferred was 12 months. It is now 13 months, whats the status of the application.

I agree. Talking with your MP would also be helpful, using the fax, in addition to email. in other words, I would use ALL the options to bring it to their attention that the processing time has elapsed and still no response.

Yes, he filled his application in feb 2012. Sametime as me. It went to ottawa and then in january 2013 he got a letter in the mail stating of the transfer to isb...

Lets see for next update...

Do you know when it was transferred to Ottawa ? Any idea about the timeline ? I was so so sleepy your post made me wide awake lol.

Picked this up from a member in 2012 forum (I don't know if MP says the truth or not)

got a call from my MP's office.

Here are a few key takeaways from our conversation:

- The approximate timeline for Pakistani applications in Ottawa is 18 months (Stage 2).
- First review will be done around the 15 month mark.
- All correspondence has to be conducted with Ottawa and not Islamabad.

That's for my application: Submitted - Nov '11. Stage 2 started - Jan '12.

Haan yaaar you should. Because Ottawa is 13 months!

hi.
I am in the process of filing an application for spouse sponsor and collecting all papers required. Husband in Canada.
Reference additional information for Pakistani nationals. history of last ten years,

Last 10 years in education and at home after education. The education history requires proofs of education like school leaving certificates.
Question. while the school leaving certificate is generally given after matric/o levels, the college does not issue college leaving certificates. the original transcripts need to be attached as asked for in the documents list. would those serve the purpose of the education required in the supplementary information form?

ok, my file was transferred on July 18,2012 so I should expect my file to be completed by Dec 2013. Are you going to be sending any more documents/updated proof of relationship voluntarily?
Are you
